There seems to be a misconception about the Zoro / King fight. Zoro said out loud that he needed to finish the fight quickly or the sword would kill him. King responded with he didn’t want risk drawing it out either. Zoro replied that they were in the same boat. They both acknowledged that they were depleting stamina. This would imply that even though King was durable he was still receiving damage. That’s why he switched to speed mode.

He is super cold air, it's just that he is so cold when he activated his ability the air freezes in that form. Which is usually his body but not always. Further proof of this is when he forms his ice sword on long ring long land. If he was just ice he could've simply spawned an ice sword. But no, he threw grass and sent hypercold air to freeze the grass in the shape of a sword. Lastly, devil fruits operate however Oda wants them too. Just because there's a Heat fruit that's a paramecia, doesn't mean the cold one would have to be one as well. Especially when you take subcategories into account like special paramecias and such.

I've got no idea how KOL can lowball Garp so hard. The man was equal to Roger/Whitebeard in his prime. If Whitebeard gets old and sick, but Garp only gets old...why does that make Garp weaker than Whitebeard? Whitebeards sickness was severely nerfing him. Hell, he even got stabbed in Marineford, so what we saw of him was not his best even with his sickness accounted for. Also Rayleigh was EQUAL to an admiral. That's right, an OLD right hand man (lower than Roger & Whitebeard & Garp) was equal to an admiral. That says to me, the captain (Roger) and his rivals (Whitebeard & Garp) of that right hand (Rayleigh) would be greater than admirals. I think it probably has to do with how active theyve been since their prime as well. Whitebeard has continued to roam the seas and remain active. Sengoku took what is essentially a desk job, Rayleigh retired from piracy and became a ship coater, Garp was still active but not as much as his younger years when he was clashing with the greats of the era. So out of all of them Garp probably retained more of his strength than Rayleigh and Sengoku did

I think a good thing for people to remember about a fight, real life or otherwise is that someone who is physically stronger will not be guaranteed to win a fight. It’s ability to adapt, how powers and styles mesh, personality, mental state, techniques etc. it’s not something you can just attach a numerical value to and say it works across the board. It’s much more complicated. And most often in a series, the winner is always going to be the plot.

KOL is definitely skewed in his thoughts on Garp and Sengoku and White Beard. Young Whitebeard would have leveled Marineford and everybody there, there is no way Old whitebeard is on par with young whitebeard it was stated numerous times during the arc. Sengoku may have a strong devil fruit but Garp has been the absolute star of the marines without it and didn’t take Sengoku position because he just didn’t want it. So even the marines them selves knew he was the man. Garp fought side by side with Roger against the strongest pirates ever. Sengoku was not mentioned that feat should prove he is the stronger fighter.

Garp is much stronger than Sengoku (Sengoku only got the Fleet Admiral position because of Garp, like you said), and it seems that Garp was one of the few marines that could actually contend against Roger. Ye. Sengoku is a genius and is the brains, while Garp was clearly the brute and the brawn. Garp should be much higher on the list and so should Rayleigh. We know Rayleigh is very very strong, because of the comment made by the marines that fighting two legends (Whitebeard and Rayleigh) at the same time would be extremely troublesome. Meaning Rayleigh was probably closer to Roger than KOL believes. I highly doubt he is weaker than Katakuri even given his age based on the marine comment (which they would never make in respond to kata, king, marco, benn beckman, or Shiryu). So clearly the marines do not think Age slowed rayleigh down that much. Given the comment of rayleigh and powerscaling of Garp. Garp must be atleast admiral level even in his old age. Sengoku should be the weakest of the three, given he is probably the weakest in terms of strength but is a master strategist.

Honestly that sounds a lot more impressive than it actually is when you actually consider how strong Akainu was at the start. Current Akainu taking a year to get the One Piece is actually not that impressive. If you don’t count Luffy’s 2 years off to train, he has been an adventuring Pirate for less than a year in his world from fighting Alvida to fighting Kaido. He has 2 (soon 3) of the Road Ponoglyphs and is about to take down a Yonko. And he’s been active for less than a year. But Akainu started on basically Yonko level. Luffy is ABSOLUTELY gonna find the One Piece within a year in-universe from when he split the skies with Kaido and truly became an Emperor. Hell if we count it from the time he was declared the Fifth Emperor in-universe he will absolutely find the One Piece within a year. Akainu finding it in a year is actually not an impressive stat compared to Luffy’s growth rate.

1. IT WAS 10 FUCKING DAYS of fighting. 2. Changing the climate of an island over a couple days is NOT even close to being as impressive as cracking marineford in 2 with ONE fucking punch from a dying old sick yonko. 3 changing the climate isnt even as impressive power scaling wise as Kuzan freezing tsunami's and guess what? He did that AND threw out all kinds of ice attacks and non of them did ANYTHING in a 1v1. The reason Kizaru and Kuzan EVENTUALLY won (because it was implied Kizaru and Marco especially fought for a bit off screen) is simply because WB had a fucking heart attack. In that moment Kizaru told a DIFFERENT marine to handcuff his ass so he can actually do anything to Marco and Jozu got frozen. Personally, I think back when Shanks had both arms; Mihawk was stronger and was already the greatest swordsman. YET they would still duel. Then, Shanks loses his arm- but even without it, years later he still eventually became a yonko. Mihawk stated himself he won’t duel a one armed dude. I think it’s entirely possible that in the course of the 10-12 years Shanks surpassed Mihawk in power and strength even without the arm. Not saying he has or hasn’t, but it’s possible. Without a duel, we’ll never know who would win or see who’s actually confirmed to be “stronger” Totally nuanced.

Unpopular opinion maybe: I don’t think whitebeard could use conquerers haki coating at marineford. That’s why he couldn’t hurt akoiji and only hurt Alain’s with his devil fruit. I think whitebeard was the weakest yonko at that point in time. Because of his decline in health, using CC would put too much strain on his health. Compared to the other yonko still being able to use it. That’s why shanks could so easily stop Akainu attack. Like saying that Queen was very close in strength to King, and Sanji defeated Queen easily while Zoro had to struggle, so Sanji is pretty much as strong as Zoro and obviously stronger than Queen. Sanji came into the fight untouched? Turned his haki off and let black Maria do to him what sanji did to luffy on whole cake. Then 2v1 King and Queen off screen, obviously not standing a chance seeing as he hadn't awakened when he did nor did he put on the raidsuit. Before zoros fight with king he received a full heal from chopper medicine and Marco heals, so bringing up that he was in a fight before is completely irrelevant. Sanji passed out after his fight with queen due to all the damage he took *before* he awakened. Post awakening sanji took three hits, so if Sanji and queen fought again both fresh sanji is low-mid diffing via Ifrit Jambe blitz which he has shown to be capable of.

Brago has a point that the admirals could be holding back as there almost never shown on a area where they can. The best we've seen of them was at marineford and Sabaody where Kizaru is shown quite differently in both. Kingu has a point that those with df seem not to decrease in power as much as those who rely mainly on haki. As Big mom, Sengoku, and Whitebeard have not talked about losing power as Garp, Chinjao, and Rayleigh have if at all. When it comes to Mihawk pretty sure it's mentioned that he went around the world challenging people to gain the title of World's greatest/strongest swordsman having it since Roger's time. Mihawk may also when he says becoming pk is harder than surpassing him as it's not just about being the strongest as you can be the strongest and not be the pirate king like Whitebeard and Roger gained the title after he had found laugh tale. So finding laugh tale is likely the thing that's harder than becoming the greatest/strongest swordsman with Luffy adding on the difficulty of wanting to defeat the yonko bringing added difficulty.

However, it kinda conflicts with statements about Whitebeard and Roger as it was also stated they were relatively equal, but Whitebeard was the strongest man/pirate so he had a bit of an edge. Then you have Kaido being the current strongest creature/pirate with Mihawk being world's strongest/greatest swordsman which kinda seems to imply that Whitebeard>Kaido>Mihawk>Roger which is kinda wild with an additional case for Shanks possibly being superior to Mihawk as Mihawk doesn't want to go at it with him due to him missing an arm. Green Bull, Lucky Roo, Shilliew, Ben Beckman, Dragon, Shanks etc should not be included as we have not seen them in action. I haven't been a fan of that dragon is weaker than bb because he ran from them. I'm not saying one way or the other but the whole thing is that bb isn't an enemy of dragon directly. If the revolution army were to engage with bb pirates, they would be in shambles even after winning (assuming so). That war or battle would set them so far back in their plans, retreating is best option for them

The Admirals are below Yonko. Whitebeard was sick and dieing and still beat Akainu. Whitebeard could have easily stabbed him to death after his last attack. Every other Yonko could best him Mid Diff. Luffy Is past admiral level. Admirals future fights. Sanji vs Kizaru. Zoro vs Fujitora, Sabo vs Akainu, Greenhill vs Jimbe. Luffy Will be fighting Yonko Level like Shanks, or Ému sama.

Marco is Admiral level. His fight against Big Mom solidifies the gap between Admirals, the stronger Commanders (as they are not all created equal), and Yonko. Yamato vs Kaido does as well and she hurt Kaido multiple times but ultimately loses without excessive difficulty. If it was 2 of them teamed up they could edge out a tough W like Kaku and Jabra vs Lucci. If it’s a top Marine like Garp with Admiral counterpart assistance then it becomes a 3/5 difficulty fight as seen with Garp and Sengoku vs Shiki. I think Koby will become the new Garp and Luffy’s crew+Sabo takes all the Admirals
