I just bought myself this exact bike, same color and all today for my 35th birthday. I went in to order a Cbr1000 and found out none of the local dealers can order bikes. They get whatever the manufactures send them. I have had many 450 dirt bikes, a few CBRs and even a Hayabusa. I just wanted a smallish peppy bike that I could fit on my reese hitch carrier on my pickup when we go to the mtns. This bike fits the bill. You cant use the liter bike power in the curves in the mountains and when I sat on the GSX8R I fell in love. It’s so damn comfortable. I can’t wait to pick it up tomorrow evening.

I have been riding a 2016 GSX -S1000 since 2017. It is of course Moore Mafia tuned. I really like the 8R and have thought of getting one. The 8R is almost exactly 1/2 the HP of my current ride and about 2/3 of the TQ. I do like to blast up to redline in the firs two gears on the 1000 occasionally. OTOH, I really like a twin cylinder bike and the 1000 at times is just too much to truly chill on it. Does the 8R have enough performance to keep a liter bike owner happy?
