Hi from Las Vegas. Just stopping by because I don’t know it’s said enough. Yeah, DJI, the drone, amazing. Everyone knows that. But it doesn’t capture visions, just gives you a clear image. Just like it doesn’t fly itself (all the time 😂) That’s all on the pilot. Mad props for this amazing footage man, and piloting skills, it’s unbelievable! Bravo! 👏 👏 👏 this just might be THE video that gets me into drones and FPV 😁🤞🏻🤘🤘 Oh, and to those hating on the drone: I don’t watch TV really, mostly online videos. I haven’t seen any footage from other drones like this. You actually have to go out of the way to find them, and DJI is everywhere. And they are always being compared to DJI, which means they set the standard. I don’t see this thing struggling with power, range, image quality, nothing. IMHO and from what I see 🤷🏻‍♂️

This thing looks AMAZING! Only bummer is that they don't offer a package with the FPV controller 2 instead of the motion controller. The motion controller seems very cool, but I'd consider it more of a "nice to have". You won't even be able to fly in full manual mode with the motion controller. The price of buying the pro view package AND an FPV controller 2 is pretty nuts. That being said, I'm gonna end up paying it (as soon as I can convince the wife, who just bought me an Air 2s for my birthday a couple months ago).

I'd buy this if it was 250 grams. I already have the dji fpv, so I'd just need the drone. Since this will require remote ID, and they'll probably ground the avata if you don't dl it. The motion controller doesn't interest me I only fly manual. Normal and sports mode are boring. It's basically just a faster mavic.

The Avata only coming with the motion controller was a deal breaker for me. I really wanted to buy it but we need the hand held fpv controller not the motion controller. Someone dropped the ball at dji in regards to this as I see a lot of other people stating the same issue

I got the DJI FPV a few months ago knowing I wanted a nice plug and play system to finally get into FPV after flying the sims for a while. After using it for a bit I really realised a cinewhoop is more what I was really after for the smaller movements and peace of mind when being near obstacles etc. I've had a few small little hiccups in landing with the DJI FPV that meant ripped up props, dirt everywhere and overall headaches that on the Avata would have been a "nothing" moment, dust off and go again. So glad DJI added this to the ecosystem and moreso that they made it compatible with the goggles and controller from the OG FPV. Amazing mountain bomb shots, looks like I'll have to order this one too 😂

I've been wanting to get into FPV for awhile, just didn't have the time to commit to not only learning how to fly, but also how to build and fix. Just ordered one. It's a bummer they only come with the motion controller though. Would you recommend also finding and buying the regular controller right away? Put these 40 years of video game muscle memory to good work!

Nice review thanks! Only at the end when your friend dropped down drone on the floor again battery went out from drone. I had two small crashes with DJI FPV and in both cases battery went out of drone, therefore searching took few hours as drone went offline!
