Hi again AMRY Good to see you! Imagine you two were excited to finally getting to jackpot. Thought you did great for the first one including the horses. Used to ride those AZ draws exercising Qtr racehorses and I soo enjoyed them because of the sand depth and softness. Perfect way to build and tone those muscles! Sweet Milo getting a workout too keeping up. Very cool you are a roping team with Cisco! A super fun thing to do together as is all of your horses stuff... Thx as always for sharing. Really enjoying the GoPro view of everything. Happy you made the leap lol! Did you say a while ago you'd be doing barrels again too? Is it Shorty that runs them? Lots to look forward to. Catcha next time!

Hi CC!! Thank you so much! We had so much fun and were ready to start jackpoting again ☺️ I bet you loved the sand washes. They are so fun! I do plan on running barrels again soon as well and yes Shorty is my main guy for that. I would really like to start hauling Poppyseed as well as soon as she is ready (she is my next future barrel prospect). Can't wait for that. As always thanks for coming along ❤️ Catcha next time!

Explain how partners are put together
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
The roping we went to (the #9.5) was a pick one draw two format. That means that you pick one partner to enter with and the other two are drawn at random. Cisco and I entered together and then each drew two other partners. Ropings can have very different formats sometimes it is only pick one or maybe a pick one draw one ☺️

I'm sorry y'all weren't in the money this time but like anything else, it just takes practice. And for being at a new arena and all, I think you guys did GREAT!! IM SOOO PROUD OF YOU 🤗. Can't wait for more Amry Palmer videos, those are my favorites 🥰. Loved the wash ride too 😊 that deep sand can really build muscle on a horse. Cisco absolutely cracks me up 🤣 when you asked him what he would do if Dusty freaked out, and he said "hold on for dear life" 🤭. It's no wonder you love him sweet pea 😘 he's good to you, he makes you happy and laugh, and most of all..... you guys are doing what you love to do, and doing it together ❤️. Thank you for the video. I have never been to a team rope event. Can you explain the basics of regulation. I heard you say something of a 9.5 and a 11. Are these times for different classes.
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Hi William! Thank you for coming along ☺️ I will be making a video soon that explains everything in full detail but in short yes the different numbered ropings are different classes. Each roper is assigned a number (this is a global numbering system) and when you go to a jackpot you have to enter ropings where your number and your partners number add up to be less than the roping. A persons number is based on skill level, experience, and age. So for example if I am a #4 roper I can rope with anyone who is a #5 or lower in the #9.5 roping. But a #6 and a #4 could not rope together in the #9.5. They have added half numbers and that is why there are ropings with .5. I hope that helps some ☺️ Full video on team roping and all the ins and outs coming soon ☺️

Dang....Cisco be NAILIN them steers ...poohYAA! You and B Bee did good too Amry from what I could see, stay after it. Keep it up y'all, as is often said... do what you love to do and you'll never have to "work at a job" your whole life, and the money will follow. So tell me, when you throw that rope (by the way ...what rope do y'all toss...extra soft, soft, medium soft...?) are you aiming at the base of the right horn or the back of the head in between horns...or where?? MUCHO KUDOS Amry on the quality of camera work! You ride soooo smooth it's as if you are on that hoverboard thingee instead of an 1100lb animal. You and Cisco never cease to impress 🙂
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
THANK YOU Richard ☺️ Richard the hype man 🙌 When the header throws their rope yes they are aiming for the base of the horns (someone told me once aim for the buckle on the horn wrap, because that is right in the middle). The heeler will aim for the right hock of the steer but a heelers rope is more 'setting a trap' so you have to be in time with how the steer is hoping to catch. I use a extra soft head rope and a medium soft heel rope. Cisco uses a soft head rope and a medium soft heel rope ☺️ Thank you for coming along and can't wait until next time ☺️

Great showing considering the horses' inexperience. Amry, with Penny waiting in Flagstaff, I wanted to ask if you find a difference training colts, geldings, and fillies/mares. I have always been attracted to mares because of their spirit. What think?
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Marcia! I do feel like for the most part there is a difference between training male/female horses of any age. Mares have lots more attitude/spirit. They try hard and want to do well. Geldings can be more laid back because I think they don't have as much attitude (usually)... of course there can be geldings that have just as much try as mares. I grew up only on geldings and have a special place for them. They want to get along. But mares are great because if you can get along with them they will give you 110% ☺️

You make that look easy, girl! What wins, best single time? Round robin? When does the clock stop, when the steer is on the ground? Did you and Cisco compete together, too? Tell us more about Cisco’s horse, Billy? Another great vid! Thanks!
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! At this specific roping the team that wins has the fastest time on 3 head. As long as you catch your first you get your second steer. If you catch your second you get to go into the 'short go' and that will tell us the winners. Cisco and I didn't get to rope in the short go (even though we caught 2 steers) because our time way pretty long compared to the others. At this roping the time stops when the heelers rope comes tight. Yes Cisco and I did rope together. Billy is a 9 yo mare that Cisco has been riding for about a year. We will sell her soon but for now Cisco wants to keep having fun jackpoting on her. I will make a better video explaining all the ins and outs of team roping because there is a lot and it can vary from roping to roping. Thanks for coming along ☺️
