FINALLY...A plugin That DOESN'T SUCK
...At achieving an awesome sounding old-school death metal guitar tone. I could never get anything even close to that classic early 90s sound without it being just supersoaked and overly saturated with mids. Some mids, yes of course you gotta have some...but to the degree that these modern sounding amps and plugins have now, HELL NO. I don't like that sound, gimme that sweet scoop!!! Bogren Digital gets two thumbs up from me on this simple as hell and user-friendly plugin. Plus, none of that bs ilok garbage!!! A huge thank you to Kaylen over at Six String TV for putting me in contact with Bogren, and Bogren themselves for sending me over these amp sims. I'm beyond happy!!!

Kevin described everything I feel about modern guitar tones. The 90s death metal tones are so aggressive but somehow just slightly warm

Whoa! Tight riffs! Sounds really great too, all of them! I always love to hear tight riffs in a video with amp-sim - that's the playing I'm interested to hear, while many other demos lack that most important part.

I love using this plugin and add the Ugritone USA death metal IR pack and it sounds exactly like the 90s scooped solid state sound it’s incredible and I highly recommend

Agree on the whole most amp sims kind suck, even the popular ones. They just glow so ugly with mids or they’re harsh and brittle that you can’t remove with completely dulling it out. You got a great tone here!

I just bought the BDH suite after my trial ended. The RevC didn't wow me either. I have the Neural DSP Archetype Petrucci but I've found myself using the 5150 and 6505 plugins more. They just sound a little more real

I love the scooped mids a la classic Metallica and early death metal. I also love a tone with warm cranked mids, like stoner rock. The no mids and all mids are different but I like them both. Scooped mids will always be the prefered Thrash/death tone for buzz saw clarity in complex heavy palm muted riffage.

Tried all of that too, and moving the mics around, etc. Didn't do 💩. I just don't get the same results as some of the other YTers do🤷🏻

I'm a bc rich fan myself but mine aren't USA models unfortunately but I have them upgraded from standard specs..I've played bc rich since the early 90s and I'm not a (mids guy either)so I appreciate ur oldskool tone 👊👊👍👍

Sounds fucking great. This is something you likely already know, but the 707 is basically a 7-string 85. Could be why you didn't dig it. I've always found that 85s sound quacky in the bridge pos. . An 81-7 might be more up your alley.
