btw, forgot to ask, does the car needs TUNE after doing the air/intakes? I'm also thinking to get DBA charge pipes as CBA has smaller inlet !

If you go with 2.75in intakes like these ones I did in this video, no tuning required. If you go for 3in intakes you'll need a tune. I wouldn't think the charge pipes will effect anything with no tuning. But I'm not sure on that if there are sensors in them. But those should be pressure sensors, so you should be good. Computer will figure that change out and compensate accordingly.

I have a 2016 nissan GTR. I am looking to do this upgrade but every forum says you need to install the Cobb access port to tune the car so you don't get engine lights coming on all the time. Is this true?

Sounds like it's not as temperamental as my old wrx was where if you just look at the engine compartment with any mods = cel. Luckily we have Cobb tuning right down the street here. You going for a dyno tune next? That's prob going to be your best gains for the $$$. Car looks good man! Do you get people trying to race you on a daily basis?

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Ok but you don't need to do that. Ecu read and take what you giving to him and do the change immediately. You do not need a day or two. less restriction at the entrace mean more flow so as the mass air flow read more air he will adjust the quantity of gaz needed for the motor to perform as normal. But to ajust everything right you need a retune.

I recently installed this and checking logs intake flows 23% more air than factory airbox means car was running lean on factory tune. This intake is a very bad idea and can damage your engine. Also has MAF air flow reading difference between bank 1 and 2 using this intake , complete waste of money.

The ECU actually is smart and can compensate for any extra flow. Thats why cars have computer systems. It will increase fuel to the engine if it's reading more air. So no, there will be 0 negative effects. If you go 3in intakes, you'll need to tune the ECU since it will get more airflow than it can compensate for stock. Then you really bump up power and are able to have even more air/fuel to the engine.
