Correct me if I’m wrong here, but if you are a woman being brutally abused by a man you claim is so violent, aggressive, and domineering, are you really going to be taunting, mocking, and physically abusing him? I feel like women who are so terrified to set off an abusive and controlling boyfriend/husband as she claims she was wouldn’t dare do anything like that in fear of the repercussions the man will place on her. Again, I’m a man who’s never been abusive or abused in a relationship so I don’t really know, but it just doesn’t seem like something that commonly occurs
@andrabook87582 жыл бұрын
you're wrong.
@m_d19052 жыл бұрын
No if you are being abused as she says she was, there wouldn't be that kind of taunting behavior. You walk on eggshells and try not to rock the boat. You might try that stunt early on but quickly realize that it only brings more abuse (usually worse abuse).
@moosedawg712 жыл бұрын
No, I don't believe you are wrong. I have a family member that would constantly pick fights with her husband and if he didn't react or argue back with her, she took that as an insult and would proceed to attack him. She'd go after him like a rabid dog. Throw bottles, books, anything heavy at him. She'd shove him, push him, slap him, punch at him until he would react, all the while screaming at him and yelling obscenities at him. Sadly, he'd had enough and smacked her to get her off him. Now he's a "wife beater" and she got to play the victim. I'm not saying his reaction was the correct one, but I can't say I blame him. Her actions were not appropriate either, so my point is, you can't always assume the man is the aggressor in an abusive relationship. My aunt resorted to violence every time she felt she was not getting her way or felt she needed to be heard. She went after me once because as a teenager, I had to live with my father and his 2nd wife, whom she didn't like (this was my mother's sister btw - so none of her business). I didn't have much choice, he was paying for the roof over my head while I finished high school...I was a minor, and my mom didn't want me living with her, nor could afford to have me live with her. She literally came at me with obscenities and fists flying because I told her to mind her own business and get off his property. Sounds very familiar to what Johnny dealt with.

There are probably fucked up relationships where both are equally abusive and taunt each other, but yeah. You’re not a victim when you do what she did and talk the way she did. Trying to look like one was a massive miscalculation.
@Midoriventure3 ай бұрын
No, this is how it goes. There are the occasional exceptions of fighters, and there are couples where they're both terrible towards eachother pretty equally, but by and large, yes, the abused party does tiptoe and dance around the abuser. The real problem is just the environment. Most of it is fine in a soap opera or teen drama when two people are playing off each other. Because it's a monologue when everyone else has been professional and kept their emotions in check, everything comes off as narration. Like the one comment said, it's like she's reading off of Wattpad. If you wrote her entire speech down as first-person prose, it would feel more natural. Part of this is probably a result of her narcissism diagnosis. She doesn't actually know how people tell stories or feel these kinds of events, so she falls back on acting. One another video about this, some people discusses how she described her nose breaking and wasn't sure if she'd actually broken her nose. You can compare it to how Johnny described having his finger cut off. Amber is only describing the visuals of it. Blood dripping down, being swollen, getting photos taken. People that have actually broken their nose will tell you about the wet heat dripping down their face, or the pain radiating across their face and into their sinuses. Hearing the cartilage scrapping against each other as much as they feel it moving. Amber has only ever seen a broken nose, but people that have experienced use all of their senses.

As a physically abused husband, and yes we are supposed to be MEN and be ashamed if a woman would/could beat us up. I understand what he is going through. I ended up going to prison for lies and me not standing up for myself. The policeman that arrested me asked “why didn’t you call us first and report it, “We would have arrested her?” I said a Man doesn’t do that to someone you love!! He said well she must not love you a whole lot!!! I said, yes therelyes the problem”!!!! Plus of course I feel into the same

I’m so sorry that you had to endure that! ALL victims of abuse should not be afraid to speak up. We need to remove the notion that a survivor of abuse looks like one thing. Thank you for sharing your story, it is very brave!

I like how she tries to pull the "I volunteer for children" yet has difficulty actually thinking of the services she volunteered for. Volunteers always engender the charity name and place they work.

It was not voluntering. There were community services she was sentenced after being arrested for a driving infraction.

As somebody who’s lived through stuff like this she is alleging things that are so despicable and would leave very very bad bruises very bad injuries hospital staff OK there’s no way you could cover the stuff up with a make up palette or staying hidden for a day or two days would be injuries are you can’t walk where you can’t move you would have bruises up your neck and don’t even get me started about the bottle I’m just I’m in raged and I was more triggered then she was telling us it’s so fake and it just hurts my heart because so many of us survivors would love to tell our stories on the stand

This reminds me of when you’re trying to pad your resume a bit and you start to wonder, “should I still include being in chorus and band in middle school as one of my achievements?” And Amber Heard decides, “yes, yes that counts and is important now in my adult life”.

It's win-win for Johnny. If he wins the trial, great. Either way he's been vindicated in the court of reputation and public opinion.

I prefer if he wins. He lost so much financially because of Amber Heard, would be nice to recover some.

It looks like she didn't want to rehearsal her statement and she is just saying the first things that come to mind. I tried so hard to listen to her side of the story without judgement, but it's such an immature narrative that it's just sad to watch.

With how much time they spent with her trying to manipulate the jury with how she looked at the jury, and with how much time her psychologist spent giving her background qualifications.... I'd feel like something was being covered up.

Amazing how the Maxwell trial was ignored.. yet we love this "drama" .. sad world
@bryanwoods33732 жыл бұрын
That's been a subject of debate concerning Musk buying Twitter. Part of why Maxwell's trial has faded into the background is because of censoring. None of it was televised, and Twitter has apparently been shadowbanning posts about it. I think it's ThatUmbrellaGuy that shows copies of emails that were released where one of Johnny's lawyers has been trying to get through to Twitter because his profile was suspended after being reported for posting things related to the trial, and they are still trying to get Johnny's profile launched. It took almost a week for someone to finally respond to the lawyer, and that was with daily emails. Apparently, his profile was suspended for violating the TOS, but the offending posts were verified documents related to this trial.

I want to see Brett recreate Amber’s testimony on stand but make it better
@bryanwoods33732 жыл бұрын
Cutting it down to a fifth would be a good start. Cutting out all the purple prose. It's not just that she's giving way too much information to try and sound believable; Brett is right that her testimony sounds like an acting class. It's very much overdramatic and embellished. The funny thing is that the audio recordings demonstrate the different ways she talked. When she's berating Johnny, she's more even in her cadence and uses fewer words. But when she's trying to emotionally manipulate him, she talks exactly like she does in this testimony. She gets more of a wailing tone to her speech and uses a lot more words.

She is totally narcissistic. A trait that these people have is that they like to lie. I hate liars. Did she take the oath to tell the truth when she took the stand?
