Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial: Johnny Depp laughed in the courtroom as his childhood friend took the stand Wednesday morning in the actor's defamation trial against Amber Heard. The court heard from Isaac Baruch, who had known Depp since they were teenagers growing up in Florida and has been described as his best friend. Baruch later moved to California where he worked as a musician and artist and the office manager at the notorious Viper Room club in Los Angeles that Depp used to own. Baruch testified that Depp loved his artwork so much that he let him live rent free in a penthouse apartment he owned in the Eastern Columbia Building and paid him around $100,000 during the more than three years he lived there. Asked if he took up Depp's offer he said: 'Yeah, of course!' which earned a laugh from the public gallery and Depp.

There was a neighborhood kid in Jersey that had terminal cancer, and asked Depp for an autograph through make-a-wish. 'Pirates' was huge at the time. Depp didnt send the autograph. He brought it personally to the kid's hospital and visited with him. Then he gave him his personal cell #. They talked bunches, even while Johnny was on the movie set. When the child passed away months later, his parents called Johnny to tell him, and to express their appreciation for his kindness. Later, when they went to hospital administration to get the final bill, Johnny had already paid it. You know it had to be in the six-figure range. He didnt do it for publicity. In fact, I dont even know if it was even written about. All of the locals heard about it directly from the family. Depp's not perfect, but his heart is in the right place.

As an artist myself, not in the same field but still; it almost makes me cry. Giving an artist the possibility to create without worries is more than just "being nice", it's life changing, one of the best thing in the world. Art takes time and for most, it doesn't pay well, most artists are driven by passion; I've got some massive respect for Depp for giving this artist the possibility to create freely, that's truly fantastic.

Was ist da drin? Tee, richtig? 🤥 Alles klar. Ihr und euer Wohltäter... 😇

What horseshit. If he had wisdom he would have simply separated from Amber instead of also becoming involved in abuse, he would have gotten involved with someone his own age instead of going for the hot young bisexual thing, wouldn't have had woman abuser Marilyn Manson as his best friend and he would have resolved his alcohol and drug problems decades ago. So tired of this celebrity worship. Most celebs are jackasses in real life, just ask their past staff. A bit of charm and giggles is all it takes to fool their stupid fans. Even Ricky Gervais said years ago, that if people knew what Depp was like in real life, he'd never get any work.

This proves how kind hearted JD is. When he offered this to this friend he never imagined he would be going through this trial. So that proves he did it out of the kindness of his heart. The same way he took care of his mom until she passed. He’s not a monster he has a huge heart and has done such wonderful things for people. I hate how they point out that this man lives for free and accepted gifts. It’s Johnnys money that he worked very hard to earn and if he wants to help a friend that’s his choice. The only thing that proves is that he’s a kind human being.

Addiction is something that is pretty much always related to trauma, or depression/anxiety in some way or another. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if that “addictions” Amber tried to use against him were the result of the way she treated him and abused him. Just the thought that that is a highly likely scenario just adds a whole new layer onto the gaslighting toxic POS Amber is as a person..

The guy testifying isn’t a millionaire actor. Idk about cry but it should make you smile. A guy gets rich acting but doesn’t forget his childhood friend and after discovering he admires his art becomes his patron. Back in the day and even today that is huge for an artist. Almost all of Hollywood is crazy and not what it seems but he comes off as genuine and so far the witnesses have backed that up. Either way this witness came off believable and definitely entertaining.
