You might know this by now but no, they are not the same characters. One is Ptolemy, the general/king and Iskander BFF (that you can even see in the Memorial trailer alongside Alexander the Great, in his section of that video), and the other is Ptolemy, the mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, geographer, and music theorist. There's also like 400 years between when each lived, so yeah, DEFINITELY not the same person. Edit: I should note this is what it seems to be the case (based on how they look), but I could be wrong, I'm not familiar with Fate lore around this character, so who can say. If anyone knows more feel free to pitch in. Edit 2: Upon further investigation it might just be Ptolemy I Soter, the first of the two I mentioned above. He founded the library of Alexandria, so that checks out with his ascension art and his NP. The only issue I still have is his design is definitely reminiscent of the other Ptolemy, but that might just be the artist taking some creative liberties and getting inspiration from that to create a design for the older version. Edit 3: Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense for him to be the same guy. I guess we'll just have to wait for the story to find out.

No it is just Ptolemy the Diadoch of Egypt, older, his title is Ptolemy Soter, literally Cleopatra's great-great-something. Good theory though, but the character already existed in type-moon media, I think he's from the Case files novel/ manga

@@cernunnos8344 yes, if you read my complete message I came to that conclusion too once I found out that bit of info. Fate is no stranger to combining historical figures, so I thought that was what was happening here too. But they I learned he is already a thing in Case Files, so yeah.

I started playing on JP yesterday as he got released after watching Myst's stream and got him in 3 TICKETS, why am I less lucky on NA ? It was also my first time getting the rainbow animation ever, It was crazy

New players has got rate bump in the first months they're playing, afaik. That's also the reason why I got most of my 5* in JP. I started playing when 7th anniversary was on going. At that time, I got Arc NP2. Some time after, summer came. There I got Summer Ibuki NP2 (Erice NP5), Lady Avalon (and summer Gareth). After that, Guda2 started, I got Maou Nobu and Himiko. Not sure what event I got Van Gogh. Next road to LB 7, there I got Arjuna Alter, Castoria, both Koyan light and dark, then Oberon. Summer Skadi was the only one I missed, just got her recently. It was a bit before Kuku's released that I think the period is over. Since, my roll starting on Nito Avenger was bad and in Kuku's was straight up disastrous. It's not until Merlin's banner that my luck's getting better. tbh, you should maximize this period, if I may say. Just roll on the interesting banner you see since you've got higher chance to get them.
