Myst ptolemios design has been known for years , Case files readers can attest . He also appeared in the newest fgo anniversary music video as well as in Fate/Zero during Iskandar np.

congrats on your old man! in regards to character designs in other gachas, you're 100% right. i have my criticisms for fgo, but one thing they often get right are the designs for the guy characters. we have so many flavors of guys, whether it's a shota or an ikemen or a bara or an old man. something for everyone lol edit: i love his smile omg!

I almost got this year's NP looper Archers - Takasugi, Durga/Kali, and Ptolemaios. Too bad that I didn't got UDK Barghest.

Can someone who’s good with lore confirm to me whether this servant is a combination of Ptolomy I Soter and Claudius Ptolomy or not? If not, then what is his lore connection with the sun and moon?

It IS Ptolemy I Soter, both as Alexander's general and as the founder of the Library of Alexandria. Sun means his prime, moon means his last years.

At this point we can expect servants that will have a different skillset in their 3rd ascension. They will not be frequent, but we know it will happen, it's just a matter of when. They are already taking the first steps with changing NPs depending on ascension with Melusine and Ptolemaios along with their 3rd skill.

his name in modern greek would ptolem-eh-os but in ancient greek it could be a bunch of stuff. ancient greek pronunciation varies hugely with place and time period. also he was macedonian and the greeks at the time wouldnt even call macedonian greek so in his specific dialect its probably someting else. best you can do to make everyone happy is ptolemy. much easier and still correct
