Hey there, mate!! Nightwish and Tarja huge long-time fan/addict here! lol haha. I just found your channel and am watching your NW reactions, I'm loving it! You're right, they are an amazing band no matter who's singing, they are pure magic on stage, and all the three ladies/Queens that sang with them in each era are amazing, talented artists who deserve our respect and love, regardless of our personal preferences (if one has any). Although I'm a huge Tarja fan, I respect, support and appreciate all singers who sang with Nightwish as the equally great, amazingly talented artists they are in their own different ways and rights, and thank goodness for that, for each of them brought special, individual and unique elements to the band that helped them grow, mature and develop their artistic identity. Please continue reacting to this incredible band, you and all of us are certainly going to love it! lol In the meantime, I'd like to drop here a short list with my suggestions of songs from Tarja's solo career which is fantastic, since I have been following her solo career far more closely, and thus I can assure she's been doing stunning, beautiful solo work too, worth checking out. Her solo musical style is quite different from NW and not easily defined, though it still has plenty of the symphonic metal elements as guidelines such as some kinds of guitar riffs, the epic orchestral arrangements and her remarkable operatic vocals, but her solo work is much more versatile imo, she incorporates aspects of many other styles and is always experimenting new things in her music, so you never really know what to expect or what she'll do next, AND I find it magnificent!! She's very unique! I love the fact that she just walked her own path and found herself as an artist, never trying to copy or recreate her old days with the band, and I absolutely LOVE the results of her choices, I hope you like it too. Also, she shows much more of her power imo, she has much more freedom to create her own music since she started her solo career, she can compose and write her own songs, play piano, sing however she wants to, and just fully liberate her inner "artist self". I would recommend something from Tarja's solo career. She released, not long ago, a new live performance of her singing her song Innocence. The venue there is really cool, stage is in the middle of the arena and the audience is all around it. I thought that it might be interesting for you to see what she is doing nowadays. Great reaction. The date is December 29, 2000. Tempere Finland. And for the record the trick to Finnish is roll the Rs and master the J vowel. Tarja= Taa-rrr-ee-aa . 4 syllables. Soft easy roll of the tongue and up at the end. There is a recent live version done solo. She is doing Christmas Together 2022 tour now. Her Best of: Living the Dream, is out. Her side project called Outlanders will have more new content in the new year. She works with world class musicians to create a more stripped down sound. Filmed in Antigua in the Caribean. It's sad that magic of Nightwish is gone for me nowdays. I used to listen to them for years and I loved them, but their last good songs are from Dark passion play album from 2007. They are most popular now but worse and their music is without passion or drama. Their best songs are from Tarja's era. Floor is great singer but Nightwish isn't able to utilize her abilities for new songs. I prefer Tarja's solo work to Nightwish now, though I liked only few songs at the beginning of her solo career. But her stuff are better and better and her voice as well. She is very experimental in music. She improved her range so much. Her live performance on stage is so different than with Nightwish. She looks happier. Although I was devastated then, now I'm glad that they split in 2005. It's much better for her. My favourite Christmas song is kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaGtnaSQfq1-aJY from her. Interesting. I'm a very recent Nightwish fan (several months) - or rather I HAD been one until I started to dive deeper into Floor's previous bands and solo work - and realized what she can REALLY do. They utilize about 20% of her potential, if not less. Tuomas never lets her loose, never lets her shine like she did with After Forever, using her voice just as another instrument. This, despite the fact that she basically saved the band in 2012. I'm sure there wouldn't have been a Nightwish without her by now. The latest album is just weird. It really looks like he decided to go all the way back to the initial idea of an acoustic folk-rock project. You don't make one of the most beautiful and powerful voices in the world sing those... things, it's just pathetic. Nightwish is all about Tuomas. My man has a MASSIVE ego, it must have been obvious already in 2005 (and by the way - I'm no fan of Tarja), and is a bit too much obsessed with folk music, film soundtracks and fairy tales - though by now he has switched from fantasy novels to another, and perhaps worse, kind of fairy tales. I have no expectations for the next album and won't be too surprised if it will be their last one. I do not wish for it, but I can't ignore certain things, though I've tried to.

@@PetraPola I don't have an "attitude" towards Tarja. Obviously she's a great singer and a Gothic Queen. I haven't really looked into her solo work, maybe I will. The fact that I love Floor😍🤣 doesn't mean that I must hate somebody else, I'm not that kind of fan. Yes, Tuomas definitely is very talented. Even the latest album is musically not "bad", it's just weird and out of place. Well, we'll see what happens.
