I love this film…. I absolutely love this film. I have the directors cut with commentary. The cast included. The theme is Alice in wonderland/ Alice wakes up in wonderland and is confused. Spence is the cat, Kaplan is the rabbit always worried about time The red queen is the Antagonist. I love Mila jovovich

You HAVE TO watch Cube, by the way. The inspiration for the lazer scene had to have come from that movies intro (Cube 1997). Very low-key but an interesting character study. 17:45 you might be thinking of Underworld for the movie about vampires and werewolves (lycans)

Yes, the games have Zombies and what they call “B.O.W.’s”. Or Bio Organic Weapons. One of those for example is the “Licker” in this movie. The thing that comes out of the container and eats Spence, and Kaplan.

Such a fun franchise. This one remains my fav. Part 3 takes second place. Watch it all! And don't forget about Evil Dead 2013 😌. Btw, about the frustration of the characters not shooting the zombies in the head first, I recently saw a comment made by someone who was in the military saying its actually part of training, you are to shoot the enemy first to immobilize them. A headshot is last resort. Maybe it helps make it less annoying 😅.

Recommend to watch the entire series They have absolutely NOTHING to do with Resident Evil outside of a few character names and the fact zombies are in it, and they get more stupid with each consecutive sequel, but a lot of them are the "so stupid they're dumb fun" kind. Don't look for continuity, there's barely any (often the continuity gets broken between the movies), there's retcons everywhere, but they're still a lot of fun My personal favorites are 2, 3 and 4 for their stylistic choices, after that it kinda fell flat for me

In reality, all you need to watch is the first movie. But if you want to watch another one, definitely recommend the 2nd movie. Personally I love all of them, they are a guilty pleasure of mine. Depends if you are going to play the games, then you only need to watch the first movie. But if you want to see the crazy monsters, then I definitely recommend the other movies. The movie I believe you are referencing is Underwolrd. It’s vampires vs werewolves and the main badass chick wears leather and uses a bunch of guns

my 1st video of urs, watch the whole thing for good or bad its a complete storyline. I'd hate to watch someone start it then 3 films in say thats it. I'd be worried about watching future things (Just 1 opinion) So yh my opinion is always finish a series of stuff once started for them who do see them all good ir bad. The first 3 movies were actually the best ones.. the ones after that got kinda annoying and repetitive. And I hate how people try to say the movies suck because they don’t go by the source material. Why would you wanna watch a damn movie when you already know what’s gonna happen? I like the different universe. It’s different but still kinda loyal to the source material.

Ive been a fan of the games. I did criticize the movies for years. But after that Resident Evil Netflix series that got only 1 season. A show that was awful. I now owe Milla and her husband an apology. These movies are fun. Also these movies are more of a "What if" concept. Because none of these characters are in the game.

@ I was harsh but to elaborate: the first movie works because it has a great plot, all original characters with arcs, a whole “Alice in Wonderland with zombies” theme. The sequels literally parachute in characters from the games (with very little introduction) and expect you to know/like/dislike them based on the way they are in-game and shove them into Alice’s storyline. They’re fun as dumb action movies where Alice kicks ass, but it’s like watching someone play a video game with Milla Jovovich as the avatar, side quests and all.

NO do NOT watch the rest of the movies. They divulge into an ugly, plot hole, aimless mess. The style that this movie had is completely sacrificed. The last movie - has a 6 minute full retcon intro - because the previous 5 movies failed to establish an overall plot. So they had to rush a make one up for the last movie. Characters die and return - with the stupid plot device "bEcAusE cLoNe." It is truly a disaster of a franchise. The director just wanted to make movies filming his wife (Alice) doing hot action shit.

Paul W. S. Andreson directing RE = how to ruin a wonderful video game series; then from Resident Evil 5 onwards (remakes included) Capcom directly took care of ruining the series!
