Izabela Emanuela Not sure if you are being derogatory towards her having Calvin’s mattress on the floor, or the people complaining about his mattress on the floor... However, coming from another mother’s perspective, I would much rather my son roll off of his mattress with it being on the floor, vs. it being elevated in a bed. Bed frames serve little purpose anyway.
@JoyceMary89
@JoyceMary89 4 жыл бұрын
Leah Jean my sister in law did the same with my niece. The little 2 year tornado gets out of bed at the we hours of the night, to her parents bed, and she put the mattress on the floor so when she gets out of bed, she doesnt break her teeth.

Yess and recommendations for things to swap out what people normally have to make it more minimal. I'm not sure if that makes sense so a simple example would be instead of having a toilet, sink, and mirror cleaner just finding one that could tackle all three

Wait, I’m so confused. I very vividly remember seeing your kids rooms, specifically Ivy & Ellie’s room when you hung stuff on their walls and vacuumed their floors. I think their rooms were shown in another declutter or cleaning video actually. I hope I’m not coming off as rude, I just thought that the kids rooms were shown before and by the sounds of it, it seemed like you were saying you never showed their rooms before. Privacy for your kids is important and you’re doing a good thing for them now 😌

I easily declutter with my kids around. I tell them about the importance of having a neat home in which we can be comfortable. They get overwhelmed with clutter so they help. Also knowing that we hand down/donate to others (most times we actually know who our items go to) they feel good about helping. (Which it’s not always just about used items, we buy new toys during Christmas to donate and the kids love picking out the toys to give). It’s about teaching them good habits.

This is not a big deal necessarily, but please do not joke about "your OCD" if you dont actually have one. It's a bit disrespectul for people that suffer from it on daily basis. And you can 't always tell from outside who has it and who dont. Your orderliness and preference for tidy environment can be described in other words (like i did). Regardless, you are amazing, and I love your content and I wish everything best for you 😊. God bless!

Real ocd sucks but there is a personality type that is similar called obsessive compulsive personality disorder. It has more to do w personal preference for order and cleanliness and perfectionism. it's not a mental illness. It is possible to have one or both together. I have both. My ocd is pretty much under control but I still want order in my home, especially now that I have a baby on.the way. It may come down to are you controlling your life or is your life controlling you?

I also have been really downsizing my closet a lot. I used to years ago in my 20's have tons and tons of clothes and half of it I really did not wear. I love those Everlane shoes! If they are a size 9 I’ll take them off your hands 😉 I’m in the process of a massive total home declutter. It’s a lot. But I’m inspired by your videos to keep on going, knowing the rewards and peace of mind that are waiting at the end. Plus knowing that it will be easier in the future when this phase is done!

Just finished a giant decluttering project in my house, got a little more to go. You should totally keep that other mop, that might be a great tool to keep to clean baseboards and hard to reach areas (fans), unless you already have a tool that does that.

You don't need a tool for that it's unnecessary... I cloth and cleaning spray is enough That's the point of minimalism not having extra stuff you don't need

Great video Sarah as always. I am so glad you linked the make up remover cloths, I have wanted to buy them, and forgot which video I saw them previously in, I bought just yesterday disposable ones, and it just about killed me, going to order them, thank you.

My cousin lives in Switzerland - there you dont buy kids a bunch of toys...you can rent toys....and because her kids are still small - they dont even notice when old toys "disappear". They just dont have a lot of space for rooms full of toys 🤷🏻‍♀️ i think thats such a good idea.
