Finally done with my newest leg...

...or so I thought :(
It's been a couple of weeks. Been dealing with stress and emotions and whatnot. This was actually filmed a couple of weeks ago. It's been a long process getting this leg made. I PROMISE, it does not always take this long to fabricate a leg. I'm just...difficult. This is nothing on these prosthetists either. This is an ongoing issue with me with every prosthetist that I see.
The leg came out SO PRETTY. But things happen and this UNFORTUNATELY is not the leg I get to bring home. Next time we should have it figured out for sure!

I am 67 years young and fit, could not find the right energy to follow for below knee amputee, some to crazy (good for them) but others too practical and I need positive interaction so well done, I’m glad I found your KZbin x

Awesome Annika! I just picked up my first leg since becoming an amputee via Toyota Corolla back in November. The VA is putting me through their amputee rehab boot camp in DC in a couple weeks. They are starting me with the Fillauer All Pro XTS. Can't wait to lose the forearm crutches and start walking on my own again! I hope I can move half as well as you one day. That's a beautiful socket! I only went with the carbon fiber for my first. Hope you get to take it home next time!

I had this feeling last week when I picked up my Fillauer All Pro XTS with the blue bumper for maximum movement for tennis. I love the foot. I look forward to your getting the leg when it's done correctly.

Well, you're not the typical user! Curious, breakage aside, what is the life of a socket? Should they last a year? 2 years? Again, thank you for sharing this process; would be such a cool job to have.
