Any treatment with braces or clear aligners will be uncomfortable the first week or 2, then most patients get used to it!

I’ve had my uppers with inbrace put in 3 months ago. I felt the same way. Eventually I got used to it, it’s no longer irritating me.

A retainer is for life wearing if you really want your teeth to look straight.. my last ortho said I can wear my retainer at night but I find it my teeth shifted of some.
