exposure therapy really helps with health anxiety!! i used to avoid everything (like adverts etc) what i found that helped was to watch one advert once in a while. even if it’s the same advert it really does help. it won’t feel like it at the time but slowly you de sensitise yourself from it. i’ve gotten over the majority of my health anxiety but it’s moved onto something else now. i really wish you the best with everything, i know how hard it can be 💜

I found regular exercise eased my symptoms and the bloat. I also don't drink fizzy drinks as that can make the IBS flare up. I tend to eat less pasta and bread, and I use lactose free milk, plus no broccoli, which affects ibs. Obviously, they are things that have helped me. External stuff like meditation and yoga for anxiety and learning to decompress. ❤

If you haven’t already, look at Fodmap diet for IBS! I got diagnosed recently too and was told that so many of our usual “safe foods” have less processable elements (the fodmaps) and some of these can cause flare ups. Garlic and onion are two on the list😢😂😂 I still eat a normal diet, but found some of the info really useful in finding a couple of my sneakier triggers (broccoli for example) xxx
@jordanskyfinding7767 Жыл бұрын
ALSO. Get some buscopan. It really takes the edge off of the bad flare ups. I’ve been bent over with pain and will take one and it’ll ease up and become bearable within like 30-60 mins. Not always, but it has saved my day MANY times

With IBS caffeine can be a massive trigger.. Medical anxiety is something ive struggled with for roughly 15 years and it has not gone away.. i've been given multiple diagnosis for different things but im still convinced its something else. I was misdiagnosed once as a young teen and i knew it was wrong and it took ten years to be told i was misdiagnosed. Still dont have a definite answer but i just dont have the energy to fight for it. Medical gaslighting sucks.
