I gotta say that I was downright shocked by the number of people who came out at you with such a judgmental spirit. It was the lack of empathy for me. Sudden and dramatic hair damage/ loss is indescribably traumatic. Telling you stuff like ,”chill already, it’s just hair”, “you’re being punished for idolatry”, etc was just too much. I’m sorry that you experienced this. I’m looking forward to witnessing your healing and restoration. Stay blessed!

I think I went ‘in’ on someone who said the usual “it’s just hair, there are more important things going on in the world. “ That remark always sets me off. I wasn’t mean myself but… The person is trying to say to be more conscientious meanwhile they are the one who is really ignorant af.

You popped up on my feed after looking for hair oils/ hair growth care. I cried watching your journey. As a white lady, I can not relate in your exact problem, but I was struck with autoimmune disease and my hair(which is to my mid butt and very long) started falling out. Every time I was in the shower clumps came out and it was stuck all over my walls, etc. It was one of the most traumatic times of my life. I had anxiety attacks knowing I had to wash my hair...I stopped showering unless necessary, etc. So I can relate strongly to your emotional pain here and my heart breaks with you. A lot of people will say 'it's just hair' or whatever, but you don't know the effect it has on you until it happens to you. Your hair is a part of you and your total being; I am so sorry you had to go through this. I was searching for oils and care products because I am now left with very long but straggly hair and its all thinned out at my scalp now too. Like me, It will take time, but it will come back. My prayers to you and you are beautiful. ❤

So sorry that happened to you. The Mielle product, may have been high protein. The exact same thing happened to my natural hair recently, and also years ago, with different products. I was so upset. Found out my hair is protein sensitive. I am one, who will do a big chop, at the drop of a hat, and start over, because my hair grows back fast. I big chopped again in September 2022 because I attempted to do a 5 minute relaxer on natural hair; but had been using a conditioner with high protein, and my hair tangled and matted up to the point that I could not loosen it, just like yours. So I big chopped to a tiny afro. My hair is about 6 inches long now. I am 6 months natural. Your hair is still shedding a lot. I do not get a lot of shedding. Shedding freaks me out. I figured out the root cause of my severe shedding hdt blockers etc, and stopped it. Good luck and blessings on your hair journey 🙏🏽✌🏾&🤎 to us on our ➿➿ journies. PS: Also hard water effects our hair, clashing with the chemicals in hair products. Get a filtered shower head.

I still get relaxers too and my hair was damaged once. I still got relaxers when getting my hair back but just stretched it out. I got cornrows a lot. I would take them down in about 3 to 4 weeks. Then wash deep conditioner each time. After 3 or so months of cornrows, when I saw more shedding then usual I knew it was time for relaxer. My hair has finally gotten back to where it was before the damage. Whew. I definitely understand.

You still have enough to wear in different styles…is there a possibility you could use this incident as a time to educate some of us new folks! Yes you are not your hair but when your hair/scalp looks good, you feel good. That's why bald men and women still care for their scalps to make it smooth and shin and cover it with SPF so that they don't get burns. For my mental health I have to care for my hair/scalp because when I didn't I got really depressed. When I had a sore and itchy scalp due to neglect it also made my mood very low. Now I put my hair and scalp care at the top of daily and weekly maintenance list along with exercise and mental health work.

I never detangle my hair when it’s dry. You have beautiful hair. I’m using the Mielle rosemary mint product line. I noticed after wearing the mielle line my hair feels dry and it gets matted easier. I’m going to keep trying but if I notice damage I’m sending the products back. Every product is not meant for every head of hair. I noticed she is saying the products are organic but there are benzoate chemicals in the product. I know that benzoate is toxic and not organic. I use rosemary clove water for my hair as well I’m going to add some olive oil and make a solution because I’m feeling like those two herbs seem to make my hair feel dry but I’m noticing growth. Best of luck. When I get negative comments I report, delete, and block. That keeps a lot of the trolls at bay. God bless us all!

I came across your channel looking up reviews for hair oils, I am so sorry you had that experience, it is traumatizing especially when it is sudden , nobody wants to loose their hair.!! Nevermind the negative comments, you are a beautiful lady, but you are not beautiful just because of your hair!! I am so happy for you that the hairdresser didn't have to cut it off, I get it I loved my hair my hair, still do but in my youth i was probably obsessed . I have a healthy relationship with my hair now, and focus on my health, when I am at my healthiest , it reflects in my hair as well. I was shocked at the comments as well. We really need God as a people. And for females to have no empathy speaks volumes. I had a similar experience when my ex decided to wash my hair for me and used his hair products because we both had scalp dermatitis. We have different textures and my hair was relaxed. Needless to say pine oil products have never touched my hair again. I had to cut it off, and I was heart broken. My ex felt so bad because he loved my hair too. I am glad you dont let people discourage you. People even went in trying to blame beauty retailer who sell the products, who either buy from a distributor or directly from the company. However, what was surprising was no one blamed Mielle hair. Could it be they changed their formula like many other companies do later down the line. Perhaps the company changed their bulk ingedients supplier. There are a lot of external factors that could have contributed. Why go for you, I don't understand. Remember nit everyone who watches your content will support you, they may only rejoice in your downfalls. Unfortunately, we have a lot of nasty,/and negative people out their.

Seems more like chemical damage or non professional hair care. You should never stretch out your relaxer bc your new growth and relaxed hair will shed/ break if you don’t keep it up. I am a cosmetologist and I never recommend a client to do that. My your heart heal and get some professional hair services.

Some people get away with stretching their relaxer. Some people get away with not shampooing for months. I unfortunately am not one of those people. My hair is genetically weak and easily damaged and is the strongest with no chemical processing but especially relaxer. I've had it coloured twice while natural and it was able to cope. But the way how stylist relaxed my hair was far too damaging by combing it through, never basing my scalp, and overprocessing it so it was bone straight and never giving me protein treatments. It took me going natural and watching cosmetologist on KZbin to find out what it was that was wrong. I'm not saying I'm never getting a relaxer again but for now I like my puffy, voluminous frizzy highly density Afro.

@@marleyhill34 we can't always depend on your stylist to do everything there is to be done to our hair because I remember going to a stylist for years to relaxed wash and treat and she never use a different treatment, don't matter the condition of my hair she use the same old treatment so my hair was lack of stuff so I stopped and help myself and find a stylist that pay more attention to what my hair needs but I mainly do everything at home because I have done a lot of research and I understand my hair and what if needs and what it doesn't like and this been working for me since I started my hair care journey for over 5 years now.

I don't think it's worth the time or cost tbh. She would have to prove the products were the cause. Legally I don't think she really has that to win a case. Maybe if there was a class action suit. Or maybe they would settle in exchange for an NDA or something. But they would likely fight this and say she has no proof and she would end up losing her time and money.

She may not have a case. Their lawyers can say her hair is chemically treated before the use of the products and that is the cause of the issue. It's so important to patch test before trying any product, especially with chemically processed hair.

This my first time on your page and I can say I’m sorry you went through the loss of your hair. My tips for you to help with your journey. 1. Best of luck to you on your journey ❤

Hello Beautiful, you may want to check your vitamin D & iron levels. I’m not saying the product isn’t at fault, h/e it’s possible to be a combination of things that caused the adverse effects. I don’t relax my hair, h/e I had the same nightmare experience yrs ago that caused massive hair loss & my hair texture was changed. I found out immediately that my vitamin D levels were low & a few mths after, my iron levels were low. My Dr put me on a vitamin regimen that I implemented with my hair treatments which helped with my repairing process.

Jacque you hit the nail on the head. So many black women have issues with black women with long thick hair. This woman can love her hair simply because the Bible says it is a woman's Glory. Many years ago a hairdresser (here in Italy where I live) completely burned my hair and scalp with forty-volume bleach wrapped up onto my locks and 70 minutes of agony and hurting/pinching sensations. I have thin hair and although I have a nice density, it ended up being from tailbone long. To a pixie cut. So, I'm very sensitive on this topic, on the growing jurney and hair care. I am so, so sorry about what happened to you but I can see a major improvement here, and this made my day. ❤️🗝️Love is the key
