Finally added The Cold Steel Rondel Dagger to the collection. This is a historical weapon with a 11.5 Inch triangular blade of 1065 steel. According to Cold Steel it was designed to pierce chain mail, heavy clothing, or openings in plate armor. Made India for Cold Steel. Cold Steel is known for their low-cost, pragmatic designs. This piece actually looks historically very accurate. The rondels were a secondary weapon used in close combat between knights in armor. The dagger/spike could puncture armor or be shoved between plates in order to pierce vital organs.

Got the "tactical" model of this when it first came out. Intimidating as hell. I fell out of love with it over time, but my wife adored it, so it's now hers!!! In my opinion, it's the nicest made, nicest looking piece CS has produced since the Scottish Dirk.

A nice addition to your collection. Unfortunately for a recipient of this Rondels business end, the wound channel would require a specialized suturing technique ( Purse String /Drawstring Stitch) to mend a less than lethal punture from that nasty blade. 😎

Excellent. Cold Steel should have a surgeon testify in the commercial for this one, they would sell even more!

I just love that Cold Steel still produces historically accurate weapons for people who are interested in purchasing them still. Love them or hate them, you have to respect their dedication to weaponry production. Be it a two in neck knife or a seven foot long sword. If you want one, they make one. I personally would not pick one of these up only because I already have two triangle trench knives by Cold Steel. So, I really don't need a third one in my collection. But, I absolutely love everything about this knife, including the historical accuracy of the sheath and handle's designs.

While it might not be a practical daily use tool today, the design is timeless. It just simply punches deep holes in people who desire your death. That is still relevant in some circumstances today.

Now that's a wonderful dagger. Very tried and true historic design. I thought these style of daggers were banned by the Geneva Convention for use during war, but apparently that's only myth. Bayonets with a serrated edge I've discovered for some reason, are. Go figure, we can send a warhead launched by a drone that will liquify the organs of your target and his immediate family in proximity through concussive force and that's deemed ethical, but a slightly jagged piece of metal on a stick is a problem because it causes "unnecessary suffering".
