That is the exact lift I was interested in. Thanks so much for breaking it down, cost wise. Looking forward to watching you without the constraints of a four post lift. Hope the GT 350 gets back into action soon

It's a great one..it's the only one that worked for me. I originally saw a video on the 9' version..but then went on the website and saw they had the 10' version. I can't wait to fully put it to use. I'm going to the dealer soon. Hope to hear good news. Thanks for watching.
@Bruce60015 жыл бұрын
If that was my garage I would make it into a kinda bat cave, 1st everything in there has to be put in the backyard and then the floor has to go, then we dig, dig and then dig some more, then once you have very large Walmart sized hole dug, we start building the elevator that will go down to the 10 levels we will be building, then we start bringing in the cement trucks, reinforcing with titanium rebar, then we start making tunnels from the lower levels out to a secure location far from the house the top level would be completely empty except for a Porsche 911 gt3 rs, the tool/work area would be on level 7, the top floor with the Porsche would be the elevator it would lower to each level, and I know you miss you’re Shelby, don’t worry you can trust the dealership 😉
@woman.driven5 жыл бұрын
Well...that would be interesting..it is possible to build that, just not in the city limits lol. I think 10 levels is way to much haha..a lot of time spent in the elevator. What about a massive football sized area with walls, 50 feet deep into the ground? Let's see how what they tell me. Cheers!
@Bruce60015 жыл бұрын
Woman.Driven Doris just build it lol, remember the movie field of dreams, if you build it they will come, and if you have a bunker built on level 10 down, you won’t need a bug out bag, I would build it but I’m on a tight budget lol

I installed a MAXJAX in 2013, love having it. It cost a bit less and bolts into the floor when in use and can be stored in the corner when not in use. Congrats on your lift, it makes doing work on the car so much easier.

You are not slick, I was thinking this is where you were going. I felt like each time you were using the quick jack on the 4 post it was not completely safe. You are building most of our dream garage. Excellent vision. I got to think ahead when I look for my next house next year. Keep it coming.

Hi Doris, congrats on the new lift! I'm sure you will make good use of it! If you want to remove the center lift on your garage door check out a jack pole lift. They are awesome and mount on the wall, not the ceiling. Also, maybe you can have your electrician install a ceiling drop for the new lift. We did that and the extra power is super handy. Yea! Congrats!
@woman.driven5 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'll need to look into that..although, I don't think I need to move the 4-post anymore. As for the ceiling drop. That is so smart. I did not even think of that. It would make sense for me to do that instead of disconnecting when not in use. Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to give credit when I get it done. Cheers and thanks for watching.

You may want to get a couple more 220 outlets installed. I have 2 in my garage, one 60 amp for a 220 welder, and one 220 30 amp for my compressor. You will eventually want a 220 compressor especially as you advance in your skills. You will move beyond bolt ons and do some real cool stuff. Great video, very descriptive and answered a lot of questions I had about the grandprix lift. They've gone up about 1000$ since you've made the video. They look good but I'm debating on the rise height, I'd have to be squatting down when under the car. I may go with the other one that has no top post because it goes higher, but the hydraulic lines run across the floor which I don't really like. Damn my stupid low ceilings

Dorace it looks to me like you have enough room on the left side of your door facing from the inside to put a LiftMaster Gear Drive opener. This opener mounts to the end of the shaft that the Springs are on thereby eliminating all that stuff hanging down in the middle of your garage it would be wide open. I have two of them in my tall metal building and I love them they are super quiet. Just a thought that you might want to look into in the future, keep up with a good videos.

Yes, I do have enough space to raise it, but according to the installer that fixed my broken spring last time; the cost isn't worth it, just to gain maybe 7-8". I'd have to check again and see. But it would make things cleaner and give me more room to move it back a bit. Thanks for watching.

Managed to get away from my work conference for a bit to watch this. I'm glad I did. Man at this rate you could start your own auto service shop LOL. I'm sure this is going to give you a lot more flexibility. Look how far you've come from the quick jacks! Very cool.

Nice lol. Sometimes a break is good. I can huh..but only for allowed folks lol. I can't wait to put it to use. As for the quickjacks..that started it all..and I'm sure I'll still use it when the lift is in use. Cheers!
