I hired into a large NE Ohio auto dealership with 11 service shops having 52 two leg lifts and a few four leg lifts, After being there for a few years a decision was made to expand the corperate location shop adding new lifts and the installers told me when I questioned them about not adding the up-limit safety circuit that it wasn't part of their job, it was mine. I made the addition then checked the lifts in all of the shops and found 75% were not wired in so I did them also. I watched your installation closely and saw no cord from your lift safety to the motor controller. Please check it out and also I have found that a pool noodle over the pipe saves on scratching the customers paint

Personally, I prefer that you mix your content up. I greatly enjoy the dozer stuff, but a change of pace is definitely appreciated. Plus I’m a fellow Ford lover too, so I guess that helps lol.

CLINT for future reference what you do is put a choke sling halfway up the lift tower then pick it up with the fork through the sling and stand the tower up you have no height issues then.

Those locks should hit at the same time the cables needs just a bit of adjustment. I measured the showing length of the thread end of the of the cable on all ends of the cables . That is a nice set you got there. Very nice

Hey Clinton, I know you said you have 5-6 inches of concrete in your floor but I want to give you a heads up. The shop I used to work at had a floor with 6 inches of concrete and I picked up a crew cab F 150 and the floor cracked and the lift,truck, and all came down. Thank goodness I was outside when it did this. We had to cut a 16x16 square section out on each side and dig deeper into the clay and put rebar every 6 inches on all sides into the existing floor then pour new concrete in the holes. So please be safe and keep an eye out for any cracks small or big around the two posts.

The video was great and so is the new shop and team work getting things done. Kevin, I had 2 El Comino's. A used 1962 one year later stolen in Denver Colorado and a new 1987 five years later stolen in San Fernando Valley (county of Los Angeles) California. I loved them while I had them.

friend on his install took every pulley apart and greased them so in a decade they have no wear. then put LPS1 on everything so no rust on humid shop. and the bottom being powder coating will peal on any 90 degree edge so he rounded edges and repainted the plate so again wont rust a decade later, and on drilling holes, get a brush to scrub the hole sides and blow it out, ensures the bolts wont spin when torqueing up .

An idea Mr. Clinton, get some old carpet pieces for your forks in the new shop, cut to the length of your forks, and have enough to wtaped them twice and secure them in place with Duck tape, when dealing with delicate paint surface, when lifting with forks, the carpet will lift without scratching, let them resemble shirt sleeves, to be taken off when not required

A lift for life. The lift looked of great quality. I have stood under many of lifts that made strange sounds. I think it was a squeak but it was saying cheap, cheap so I quit using it and two weeks went by before it failed and dumped a Ford F150, no great loss. Ha Ha

That old 73-76 model Ford brought back a lot of mo.ories. my Dad had a 74, three on the tree 6 cylinder. He got it just to go back and forth to work a d to take us fishing on his fans of. Burnt orange was the color. I drove it in high school also.

The safety catches usually should clunk/engage at the same time. When they don't the right and left sides aren't synchronized or the right and left side are not at the same level on the ground..

FWIW one can do your own commercial electrical work as long as a certified electrician signs off on it. I'm no electrician but I know how to do electrical work. I worked as a maintenance worker for a company, and we did all of our own electrical including high voltage. We had an electrician on speed dial.

I have installed a dozen or so lifts like that lift and have used a A-frame, tow truck, 3 guys, a come-along with a couple floor anchors, a crane on a road service truck, a rollback tow truck land a forklift and all of them had pluses and minuses except the rollback tow truck because that was beyond sketchy getting the posts to upright position.
