I was struggling to design this sound this sound using a different synth. What I've noticed in the end is that the second oscillator (the synced one) needs more than just one voice. Giving it 5 voices with some unison detuning and widening did the trick. The VST in the video probably has that set up by default. Hope this helps others with the same issue. (I'm using the built-in Polysynth in Bitwig)

Hey! Thanks so much for this tutorial, I'm having a lot of fun following along. When I go to adjust the "pre low cut" amount in the Reverb , it's in semitones instead of frequency. Is there something I need to change for this to display the frequency cut off instead of semitones?

Thanks! That was really helpful. I love that type of bass & glad that I can make it with my own hands now. Could you tell if there's sort of manual that would provide the certain amount of SYNC to match octaves? Looks like it gets really messy the higher you go. I was able to tune these: 1 - 50 2 - 62 3 - 70 4 - 75 5 - 79 6 - 82 7 - 85 8 - 87.5 9 - 89.5 10 - 91.5 11 - 12 - 16 - 100 But I'm still not sure if they're 100% accurate. I've heard one needs to use fine tune to match it perfectly. I'm confused, any manuals would be appreciated.

Don't think there's a manual, but what you did there really helps!

Very informative as usual. Thank you for uploading this. Just out of curiosity can this WUB bass be achieved using the same principle in Omnisphere? I mean I know it can be done, but what I'm getting at is is it done the same way no matter what synth used?
@STRANJAH3 жыл бұрын
Good question, I will have to see, because Omnisphere ism ore of a "sample" player where it plays a bunch of recordings, I know there is a synthesis section, but it is pretty limited.
@notificationsareblocked.yo533 жыл бұрын
@@STRANJAH I was under the impression that omnisphere is a very advanced synth just not as streamlined

Why does OSC Transpose go above 11 and then you have to fiddle with Phase Sync to move up octaves? It would make sense to have separate Transpose controls for octaves and semitones, or let Transpose go to infinity, instead of just 48. Then you could set it to 91 on OSC 2 to get the same effect, right?! Or really, it might be one field that would show 7.7 instead of 91 or something. It would make the intent clearer.
