Started playing last night on series X in graphics mode. I was very on the fence about getting the game but i decided i wanted to just try it and go in with an open mind. Theres things missing that it needs for the social aspect, but It plays really well. needs some finesse, But its got great potential and im hooked it feels great, sense of speed is insane, cant wait to see what happens with the game. i was chilling with other people driving around, straight into races, f150 raptor sounds amazing. The graphics also i dont think were too bad for console. Definitely better than ps5. That was on my 60" 4k tv.

Consoles are running this game at 1080. NO CAP ! in PC you can play it at at least 2K. games is a 9/10 for me. hit level 53. only thing i hate so far is the online only and you cant sell cars!

I'm gonna have to give it a few years. I played the beta and i hated the arcade handling. I made the mistake of thinking i could get over unrealistic driving physics with forza horizon 5 cause they said the physics were "improved" from 4. I was better off throwing my money into a shredder. Maybe it will change but i dont have much hope for it. I was expecting realistic driving physics from the developers of WRC

This game is fun. Yeah its not the bets looking or performance but something about it got me addicted. Also the handling is great with a controller and a wheel. I have the GT DD Extreme and it works well out of the box.

As someone with 50+ hours in so far (lvl 53, clan 31) I can say my biggest issue is the economy. I've just bought the agera rs for 10m and have lost almost all drive to grind more. None of the races apart from the community time trials give more than 15k and playing the same mission more than 5 times per day decreases reputation xp and cash payout. I get it's to encourage players to diversify their playtime but quite honestly id rather do the same 3 or 4 of my favorite races over and over again than have to slog through ones I don't just to get more cash and xp. I'm now saving up for the chiron and superfast but honestly after finding most of the radiant prizes I'd need close to a thousand races to raise that kind of money.

The graphics may be nice but it doesn't run very well at high settings on a 12GB 3060 on a 5800x when I played the demo. It struggles to hit 40 fps. Is performance any better now? You should've got the Emira. Such a beauty.

I do like what they've done with the setting, especially the smaller towns and the semi-rural areas where buildings gradually give way to countryside. Shame I don't have a $5000 PC + sim rig to actually enjoy any of it lol. If they fix the online infrastructure and console visuals / performance I'd like to play this. I just hope they actually fix it for current gen and not just kick the ball down to next gen where they can brute force all the graphical computations.

I just watched somebody playing this in VR on a quest 3 via virtual desktop. This confirms for me the game needed VR to realise it's full potential in 2024. Such a missed opportunity. Hopefully the devs (or a 3rd party mod) could patch VR in somehow. Such a shame about the launch. Most people seem to be really enjoying the game, issues aside.

I refunded because it's unplayable with my Moza R5 bundle. Input cuts out all the time. If I turn too hard, I lose all control over the car. I need to downshift and it reconnects sometimes. I will check it out again if they fix that. Seemed like fun.

i got a 3080 RTX. if you got DLSS use it on balanced. or use FSR for more performance. also check your anti aliasing makes the game sharper. and not everything needs to be on the highest setting. the reflections look best at its lower setting. shadows medium. texture quality low. and to get id of the ghosting effect under your car turn on motion blur. that fixes it. my game looks just as sharp give it a try.

on amd the gpu on ultra is worse visually than console performance versions. it really sucks cause i know the game is really good looking on nvidia. it really sucks cause i have no issue getting into servers i just cant play the game without getting a massive headache. it looks like film grain is cranked to 1000, anti aliasing is on -100%, draw distance is on 0, and resolution is on 480p for amd gpu's on no matter what graphics settings i use in game or through enhancements from amd adrenaline. and they dont allow you to attempt to use dlss protocol on this game with amd. also im using a 7900xtx overclocked. (equivalent to 4090)

Allot of people don't know, Forza horizon is almost a 1 to 1 replica of the test drive series, has all of the same type of game play. The difference is that forza perfected the formula. This game is an answered prayer, now please project gotham

Thing is about horizon, and I love the games, is the roads are scaled wrong. ie, too wide, too long. Then there was the little things like, I don't think I've ever seen a set of working traffic lights an any horizon game, let alone A.I driving like there are any real road rules. They actually miss loads of little details. TDU always felt like you were driving in a real place not just an "Adjusted for gameplay/approximate representation" of one. And that's just the environment (which used to be almost 1-to-1), not mentioning the car details/functions, garages, etc. TDU was always packed with details you could easily miss. While they may seem 1-2-1, most TDU fans can feel the difference between the two games. I really wish the two developers could work together on the same game. Horizon always feels like a quality product no matter what they add in, EVERY time. I wish TDU had that polish. Also, project Gotham will be missed. Some people say Forza filled that gap. I say I need an xbox 360 again, because it really doesn't. 😁
