Actually the DR of that recipe is DR400, a pretty good match to the real film. Anyway, if you think there’s too much dynamic range, you can change that setting to DR200 or DR100. That’s how Fuji cameras can match more accurately those film moods. Also you can change the highlights settings too to match blow out highlights or the opposite. There are two different versions of the Portra 800 recipe, the v2 may be more accurate, is the one I’m using too but with the WB in auto (personal preference).

To be 100% honest I didn't research what the DR setting actually did until I was editing the video. I think knowing this I may just overexpose a little bit from now on. But yes, changing the setting to 200 would be a smart idea too. I'll have to test out the V2!
