Finally let the Portugal tour begin! I am off on another motorcycle tour to Portugal, after touring the Pyrenees and French Alps last summer, I have the itch to go on another adventure.
Motorcycle touring is my favourite thing to do and this is my first tour of 2022. I get the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, and then ride through northern Spain and in to Portugal. My destination is the Douro Valley and the N222, which has been voted the best road in the world.
Just me and my Triumph Speedmaster off on another tour. I explore Portugal on my motorcycle.

Great video Angus. One thing I would HIGHLY recommend both safety and quality wise over your current camera would be the Forcite Helmet, with built in camera and a ton of safety features built into the helmet, including turn signals, traffic and camera alerts, and police ahead. Looking forward to seeing more, as I just stumbled across this. I would also love to hear more about the Speedster; great looking and sounding bike.

ANother great video mate. Im just home from my spin across Spain and the Pyrenees. Im already planning my next trip as real life is not fun :/ Ive gotta agree with you Angus, when i was planning my I was so nervous. To the extent where I only booked the boat as I couldnt get my head around booking hotels and the anxiety wasnt helping. So.... I just went. Docked in Bilbao with nothing booked and it turned ou tto be the best thing I ever did. To anyone sitting there saying "Id love to do this" my advice is to just book it. Providing you arent going through a rain forest in deepest darkest peru, you are going to another civilised country. In fact it was better services, campsites and hotels that my own country. DOnt think about it, just do it!

Hello. I'm a portuguese from Porto, riding a Royal Enfield Classic 500. At Vila Nova de Foz Côa you have a modern museum about pre historic rock paintings from Côa river . It's worth to see it. If you are following the Douro river, and EN (Estrada National) 222, direction to Porto, I can give any info you need, from routes to railways trips along river Douro Porto/Pocinho or anything concerning your interest. How many days will you be travelling in Portugal? Or is it only north Portugal?

This is promising to be a good tour. Like your rucksack chest strap. N222 - best road in the world ............... really? Btw when I've looked to book with Spit-in-me Berries from Portsmouth to Santander/Bilbao on my own with my bike it has been extortionately expensive. The only way I could make it even half affordable is to share costs of a cabin with a riding buddy. Looks like you are already enjoying yourself so hope this continues and the weather remains fine for you.

Thanks Alex 👍 Yup it is beautiful here! It was voted the best road in the world in 2019, I cannot remember who by off the top of my head but I did read it!! A few motorcycle riding magazines etc... A certain stretch of the road is meant to be the best. It certainly is beautiful. Yes I am always shocked by the ferry price!! Crazy!! Cheers
