As a student I'd still pick Macs over windows' arm based. There is majorly one reason which is price. If they can make these available under 70k in the upcoming times as we see more arm based then it's a macbook competitor else for 125k anyone would go for a pro mac or air. But again it's a personal choice and based on which UX and UI is friendly for you.

it's just the launch price🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦‍♂. Prices would go low in sales and when the CPU is a year old also when the next gen comes out. Macbook pro M1 too was launched at 1.22 Lakh and 93k for Macbook air. No wonder you have no idea. Also base Mac comes with just 256gb SSD nowadays phones have more storage than that lol.

Macbook air was launched around a lakh and I bought it with card offers for 68k a year ago. Thus it's little expensive, anyway a student can do all sorts of work on a 40k laptop, coding all those tasks could be accomplish. Fandboy? I myself was going to a Macbook for my dad as it was best for 60k as he's a working professional. All I have stated are facts, when a tech is new prices are high it slowly reduces, there are also other manufacturers like MSI which may launch cheaper just have patience. And yes prices you will see under 80k of any Snapdragon laptops within a year if not come back to this comment. I am following tech industry for almost 10 years now so I have an idea how the market is. I did not see your edited comment calm down and go back to study now. If you want to compare then compare directly with a M3 mac which is same price as Asus and obviously it is better and offers double the RAM and storage. Even a 50k Windows has 16gb RAM. My HP omen Ryzen 7 RTX 4070 also gives 10-11 hours of SOT in 60Hz in normal usage (and its one of the slimmest gaming laptops). Its cinebench R23 is 17,000+ when plugged in and even when on battery, its 15,000+, It supports everything you throw at it and its linux support is great. The Question is What did Qualcomm actually achieved?? If ARM doesn't even gives much better battery life then we all know how useless it is against X86. If you wanna do anything serious you need X86 anyways..
