Finally Making an ART LEVEL

Today marks the start of a brand new creating adventure... this is not your typical Wulzy Wednesday, but it's the start of a completely new era in a style that I have never built a full level in before... AN ART LEVEL. Thank you to ‪@Waaf‬ for editing (he cooked) this series, this is mostly prerecorded already, but in later episodes I will be implementing your ideas from the comments for fixes!

my advice to you is to add a light shadow to the block design and try to make a texture for the lava, also take into account what attracts attention should be more detailed (I am not an Englishman, I wrote from a translator)

idk who i am to talk i cant make a layout but, a bit of an idea i got from you saying you want it to be like ruinish or in ruins and when you stretched out the blocks and kinda put them in the background at around 13:54 , you could make like columns from like an ancient architecture as they crumble off and get destroyed how you did at the end sort of. gives me an apocalypse kind of vibe honestly, sick level king.

for a cool cube gameplay type mechanism thing you should place a block in the air then make it so you hit a red jump pad then lad on the block and then amen it so the block is connected to 2 move triggers on with move time of 100.0000 and then lock it to the Y and x axis and set the number on lock x and y axis to 1.000 on both y and x axis for player and then another move trigger the same but on that one don’t lock to x axis and Y and make the Y -4 not locked on Y and put both triggers underneath the block. Cause then it will make the block slowly move down and it breaks once you touch the ground while your on it and it’s supposed to make it look like you flying on a block and make it extra sticky just in case. If that makes any sense

as an art creator who is working on some high profile levesl this is not that good use parallaxing to accentuate the motion and try to make the blocks be done in some form of perspective (3d) rather than simply being flat also have the background elements approach the bg color (atmospheric perspective, look it up) rather than black

Hey idea: if you are going to make a ship part put black tridents that pulse and make the background a diffrent colour close to black (for example maroon) so it looks nice to the eye btw if you are going to use this just remember this might not work cuz i have been playing for literally 9 months only

As an art creator with 1.5 years of experience and some tutoring from the best there are (Ekho, Roselyne, Evelyn) I hate a lot of criticism towards what you made here. Please dont take this personally, Im going to be harsh towards your level, not you. First of all, your colors need work and a lot of it. I suspect what Im about to point out is a result of your experience in effect style where things like this are very common. Your pulses ruin your colors in so many places. The rock cracks are an ugly dark yellowy green at times and the rocks are brighter than the hot molten lava in a few other places. Now to your actual colors and not just the result of effect style pulses. An analogus color pallete is a safe pick but probably the best for a first art part since there isnt much you can get wrong but that doesnt mean you cant. Here for instance you put the most outstanding color right at the edge of the screen (the yellow lava) and unfortunetly it became a focus point and the last thing you want is to have a focus point be in the foreground and/or on the edge of the screen. After that we have the unusual color relations where your foreground fades into the background quite nicely but you put all of your gameplay behind the foreground so this pleasent gradient with pretty good colors (ignoring the focus point yellow) is torn up unnesescarilly. Just now realising that for like everything else I wanted to mention 3velyn06 already made a comment so go read that
