Btw Reto, the hephaestus Boon did make your Aspect of Melinoe one rank higher. A bit spoilery, but when you unlock aspects, the aspect of melinoe for the twin daggers is additional backstab damage. Which if you notice in rooms ahead, you do in spite of not unlocking aspects or taking that one deadalus hammer that gives you 200% backstab damage. So technically it did still work.

Boons in both Hades 1 and 2 are additive, not multiplicative, i.e. +400% damage and +80% damage goes to +480% damage.

where it gets tricky is there are some things that _are_ multiplicative, I am _pretty sure_ they are the ones that use % _more_ damage but not positive

@@Retromation I’m pretty sure that if it gives a specific number more damage, not a percentage, it gets multiplied by any percentage increases you get. So, if you have an upgrade that reads “do 20 more damage” and the attack originally did 50 damage, it now goes to 70, which will then be multiplied by % increases. I have not formally tested this, but this is my observation at 25 hours of play.

@@nuclearbirds I still haven´t quite figured out the boons that give you "power". Like: "Attack gets +5 power". Because the tooltip specifically mentions "something" being multiplied. I can´t tell if it´s any different from just more damage.

@@johnyshadow From what I understand, power specifically increases the base damage, so that boons that give +80% damage will INCLUDE the power stat. So if you have +100% damage on a 100 damage attack, you'll do 200, but if you get +5 power to that, you'll do 210 (105 + 100%) rather than 205 (100 + 100% + 5).

You should try focusing a run on a combination of effects you want. Whether its for elemental infusion or getting a specific duo boon, you can use the trinkets to (almost) guarantee some boons.

that zeus magick restricting boon feels so bad.. it continuing to reduce future max magick gain too which means you can never get enough magick to do all the omega moves you wanna do. It's probably balanced to better help you get into the low-magick thresholds that zeus uses for other boons but man, especially this run where your omega attack was so good, zeus boon is just so bad.

You can definitely make it work. I think it´s actually the only boon, (not counting Arachne´s armour), that gives you a constant mana regen, without any condition. (Like being close to the target.) But yeah, the downside is pretty bad and is quite limiting on the playstyle. (You need to plan around it *a lot* .)
