Sandy's body language says she is a bit overwhelmed by the suddenly crowded apartment. That's part of life(ups and downs). There are both language and cultural barriers which you guys have to overcome, over time. It will take time. Avi's father is a typical, apparently 'aloof' Indian man. I'm glad the baby Leo is getting a glimpse of both sides of extended family members. Never lose interest in finding alone time as a couple which is a daily supplement for a solid family base.

Encourage both the old couples to speak in their own language and the two of you should do the translation. English is a foreign language for all the 4 old people, so encouraging them to speak in Haryanvi and Chinese (what do they speak, Cantonese or Mandarin?). Avi & Sandy should be translators 👍👏

That was my experience. I was having surgery and my parents came down from India to look after me and my family. But then my in laws decided to visit too. It became very uncomfortable for me in particular as I hated to see my mother now having to cook and clean for two more adults. My mother has visited regularly as I have sisters who live here too and is very used to the appliances etc we have, whereas my mother in law was not. When both sets of parents were visiting we lived in a four bedroom house but even that seemed small. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it must be to squeeze everyone together in an apartment. That was my experience maybe yours is different.
