I learned the hard way that bidding on anything online is stressful. I sold things on ebay for a bunch of years and during my first purchase via auction - I was the lone bidder for 3 days on a small silver charm I wanted to purchase as a gift - - - No One Else Was Bidding and I Didn't Know To Stay In View Of the Auction for the Key Last Minutes of It - and Someone Swooped In a Bid Literally a Penny Over Me and I Lost My Chance at that Perfect Charm Gift ! You HAVE TO BE ON THERE WATCHING AT THE FINAL MOMENTS AND See What / Who Pops Suddenly On Scene to Have That Last Minute Chance to UP Your BID and Take Home the Prize ! Best Luck to You On Your Fave Picks. Anyone Who Gets To Come Home To You IS A GONNA BE A WINNER ! X0

The trick to winning an online auction is to wait until the last 30 seconds to put in your last bid. If you keep putting bids in now the price will just kep going up. Wait until the last 30 or 40 seconds. Make sure you put in the highest bid you would pay so you wont be disappointed. Your highest bid doesnt mean thats what the horse will auction out at. It probably will be lower. Thats why waiting till the very end is so important. You can watch what others are bidding then make your move at the very end. But others will be doing the same and it gets crazy. So just wait till the last 30 or 20 seconds and put in a bid over the current bid showing and your final amount you would ever pay. Tips from an Ebay expert bidder! Lol. 😂. Sorry you didn't get One Ear. But keeping fingers crossed for the brown one for you! 🤞
@tanyabrown98392 ай бұрын
She said that site often crashes towards the end of the auctions....so there is a good chance she may be then be able to put in a bid.
@Minihopa9 күн бұрын
I agree. Waiting until about the last 5 minutes to enter a bid is a good strategy. I was thinking ... it would be easy for a 3rd party online auction to artificially bump prices with fake accounts in order to get more money. A fake account could be an easy way to manipulate individuals with a gambling addiction to aggressively bid against them. Since it's connected to the government, they're likely too regulated to do something like that.

@tanyabrown98392 ай бұрын
That's fine if one really doesn't care if one misses out or not. One never knows how high those proxy bids are going to go. What she should do is get approval to have more than one horse and then try to go for several at once she really likes, seeing they allow people to cancel even after winning. Having ones heart set on just one is bound to lead to disappointment

I'm actually glad you didn't get that one-eared palomino; he was obviously in high demand, and honestly seemed a little "obvious" as a poster fixer-upper, seed in the rough, mustang. I personally adored the little 3 year old with the spunky trot, the fact that he only had a few late bids is a travesty. At the end of the day I hope the horse that comes into your care isn't as fractious as Scarlet (as so to provide a bit of a break as you wanted), and gets along well with the other horses in your care, (as so to make herd management even more of a delight). Love the work that you do, CC! Keep it up!

Every day I browsed those sites four or five times a day spending hours on them. After nine months of looking, I finally found Maxine, a special needs Malinois because of an owner induced bite record. The right horse will come along when you least expect.

I know we are talking horses but when we got our Irish Wolfhound we didn’t care about the specifics we just wanted a puppy. My husband did a lot of research online. He kept seeing this one judge of IW over and over. He contacted her. She knew of a litter in PA ( we are in MS). She (in GA)had the sire and she knew about the quality of this one litter. We asked only for a male. She picked up his twins one male and one female… and our puppy and brought him from PA to GA. We went over and picked him up. I tease my Saxon we got the MS red neck of the 9 puppies. His two brothers have gone on to win Best in Breed at Westminster. It blows my mind. We just lucked out and bought the sweetest best Wolfhound ever. He doesn’t win titles but he looks exactly like the ones who do. He is a prized family member and loved. Sometimes magic happens like Scarlet and Ziggy and the other CC horses. They just end up where and when they are needed and the rest is history. But yes this video WAS HIGH DRAMA… and the plot thickens…

I have adopted four Mustangs over the years. The first one was at a live auction in South Carolina. He was a yearling; I didn’t feel like i could take on more than that. I still have him and he is 33 years old. My daughter competed with him in combined training. The other three were from live auctions in North Carolina and South Carolina. I had them professionally trained and found good homes for them. One of them was smooth gaited, like a Paso Fino. I also purchased a Spanish Mustang and his son, both with the paso fino gait. There isn’t a horse in the world that I don’t love, but Mustangs have a special place in my heart.
