Nick, I understand your frustration. It's not just money, we put our heart and soul into our crops. It's a terrible feeling watching it turn to dust when it doesn't rain. A guy just has to keep going and trust that the rain will return, and next year will be better. This was the 4th straight year of drought here, but I was lucky and had some decent rains early on before the tap shut off in June. Even though the crop wasn't the greatest, when I look back through the record book I carry in my combine I see the improvement over the last couple years. It gives me hope and excitement for what next year will bring. Keep up the good work and best of luck next year.

Nick I don’t blame you one bit! The input price of everything have exploded. 3 years of drought & hail is a heart breaker. I’m sad just watching! I pray every Spring for Cinderella weather for you. Tony got some good moisture this year, it’s just not making over your way. There’ll be a day when you look back & tell your kids about the great drought & how the farm survived it as a family.

Great idea! Add a solar panel and a battery and lose all the wire. Make the battery easy to access. Like the way a battery mounts on a drill. Then on cloudy days or at night, you can charge a second battery in the truck.

13:20 here you pointed one important topic out, that is spreading out through a lot of the equipment that we use today. It's not designed to last, it's designed to break. It's designed to beeing not repairable, it's designed to get bought new. I get the point, that the company that builds their stuff to good won't last too long...but that development, that you end up buying trash, as you can already be happy when it survives the unpacking, it's not how it should be...and hopefully those companies won't last long either, but at the cost of ripping of their cst, that have wasted their money on a non working product

My labs have been on a diet since May(Vet’s order😂) so I planted about 30 green bean plants bc they get them on their supper every night. Calorie free & they LOVE them. Every time I come in with my harvest basket, they beg like crazy for a treat. They love carrots, cherry tomatoes, green beans(obviously, they gonna miss fresh picked ones)& apples. They’ve lost a lot of weight though.

My compliments to you on this invention of yours. Sorry the spring wheat is not better. You are getting some so that is better than nothing. If only you would have had more rains. Feel bad for you all. Hang in there. Always sending prayers your way for rain and moisture for your crops. You have had some tough years for sure. Next year has to be your year for great crop production. Prayers coming your way always!!!!!!!!! Nick you have a lot going on with the house and everything. Take it a day at a time. Colby wanted out so he could put the "lope" into those antelope! Nick... we can sense your frustration with things ambeling along, when you are normally going bin busters to get the crops in...but never forget, He has a plan for all...and it just may be that you need the extra time He gives you this year, to reflect on your new house build...and what exactly that means for you, your family, and His creation...and how it all fits together! Best of luck! Great "invention" Scott...and Bob all I can say is.."What's up🥕🥕Doc?" Thank Ya'll for farmin', fixin' and feedin' 🇺🇸 under His Big Sky!
