Try to start with 8 Reps and a bit more weight. The best hypertrotphy range is between 8 and 12 Reps. Combine the hypertrophy training with classic progressive overload. So you start in Week 1 with 8 Reps / 4-5 Sets and for example 65kg. In week 2 you progress to 9 or 10 Reps and in week 3 (if 10 reps with 65kg is easy for you) you progress to 8 Reps with 67,5 oder 70 kg. Its a simple, very common and very effective way of building muscle and power. Maybe you already knew about that method but when I saw your trainingslog I had that idea ;)

Bro I’d say that when you are cleared to play you should do a mini pre season to get your touch/sharpness and fitness back

Unless he is a two year old who knows nothing about football, he would know that after such a long layoff he needs to get his touch and fitness back before joining a team again. Again, you are just stating the obvious

I've known guys with knee injuries where 6-8 months later they can't even bend down and pick something up without ending up having to stay at home for 2-3 weeks with a new sprain/injury because of the initial one!!

Don't rush it bro. It's good you focus on playing next season instead of rushing the final games of current season

Ask about doing a mini trampoline or elliptical ( super good for knees ) can just do lower part or add arms to increase HR .

From videos he likes having you as a big brother type it seems. 😁 Alex is itching to get back with his club .this Covid crap with boarder freeze is getting frustrating, but hitting gym every morning. For fitness you should do a med ball and battle rope complex, or boxing

Sheldon, you have previously mentioned clubs did not sign due to you being too small yet I watch a fair bit of NPL games and noticed quite a few players that are small (70-80-KGs)? Could it be for another reason? I ask because my son is small and is he in for a rough time due to him been small?

Possibly, but how would I ever know... Sydney FC said to me that I was technically better than some of the players they picked but I wasn’t big enough. This was the year they were entering the NPL and playing against men. So this does make sense but you never really know
