Finally Riding Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure, Meeting A Baby Dinosaur & Dinner! | Staycation Day 2!

Today’s vlog is day 2 of our Endless Summer Dockside staycation! We give our second day thoughts about the resort and food at the hotel. We start with breakfast at Pier 8, the cafeteria style eatery by the lobby. Then we head into the park! We spend the day at Universal’s Islands of Adventure! We had one mission in mind today, to ride Hagrids! Once we got in the park we try to get on the virtual queue but it was sadly full when we checked. So we head over to Camp Jurassic for a little Jackson playtime. He loved the slides and while we were there we measured him for Pteranodon Flyers. He was still a little small for it but the awesome team members there gave him a certificate to come back when he’s tall enough and he can go to the front of the line. It was so cute! We can’t wait to see him ride it one day! Afterwards we checked to see if we could get on the Hagrid’s virtual queue and we were able to!! It was about a 2.5 hour virtual wait. Then we had some lunch at Thunder Falls where we had great view of the Jurassic Park River Adventure ride. The weather starts to get a bit stormy so we head back to the hotel, but before we do that we rescheduled our Hagrid’s time so we could come back after Jackson’s nap. After his nap we head back to the park and we get on the ride!! This was such a long time coming so I was SO excited to finally ride it! It was awesome and such an awesome ride!! Then it’s dinner time so we head out into Citywalk and have dinner at Vivo Italian Kitchen. Dinner was wonderful, we all really enjoyed our meals. We head back to the hotel, we had a fun but very long day so it was time to get ready for bed. Later we were surprised with an alarm but after about 10 minutes it stopped and there wasn’t any actual cause for alarm so that was a good thing! We get up the next day and give our final thoughts on the stay before we check out. We had a really great stay and we definitely would recommend checking out the Endless Summer Resort on your next Universal Orlando vacation! We hope you had fun hanging out with on this staycation! I hoped my son would love coasters as much as hubby and I do, but it's a big fat no from him, unfortunately! He enjoys smaller rides, and will do a family coaster ride. You've no guarantee how your kids will feel about rides as they get older. When he was young he'd try anything! 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like Universal has really stepped up the guest experience as of late, I remember when it first opened and it just felt like it would never live up to the Disney standard, but how cool was that pass that they issued Jackson for when he is tall enough? Definitely makes me want to spend more time at Universal for our next Orlando trip.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Jen can stay and enjoy the rides, as she’s already in the park and doesn’t have to worry about driving, and Tim can go back with Jackson. Tim is just as capable taking care of Jackson and is a very good dad too. I was hoping Jenn wouldn’t forgo the ride.

I'm a Floridian and frequent the parks as well, but I never leave the park because of nap time. If they are sleepy they will sleep. Too much money for the admission to be leaving the parks. When I'm on vacation schedules are non existent.

I guess I don't understand why you always leave for Jacksons naps, I'm a mom of 5 and some of the best advice I was ever given is allow your children to sleep wherever you are because then you'll never have to worry about them not getting a nap. We have done that and it's been a lifesaver, our kids sleep in theme parks, planes, cars, boats if they are tired they will sleep wherever we are without a problem. We just got back from a 14 day vacation with our 17 month old and we never left a theme park we just put him int he stroller when he was tired and he fell right asleep and sleep a good hour to two hours. I guess since you live there it's easy to do that but If you plan on traveling outside of Florida it will make your life so much easier then always cutting your day short and leaving if he gets use to it now.

Today was a historic day, Jenn finally got to ride Hagrids after so long. Genuinely happy for her to finally ride it again! Also Jackson is always a joy to see in these videos. We all enjoy seeing his reactions to everything new that he encounters. That thumbs up is just the cutest. I got to ride Hagrid’s in the rain. There was a drizzle, it was awesome! We ended up leaving the station right when the rain started so we were the first train in the rain. Shortly after us, the ride shut down. It was such a cool experience!

Toon Lagoon is my favorite place at Universal to just walk around. I know it's dated and no one reads the funny papers anymore (and they're not very funny anymore anyway) but the nostalgia is so strong that I love it.

I always take extra bottles of frozen water into the parks. We rent a locker for keeping extra things in but if you have a stroller you can keep the extra frozen water in the stroller basket. We also keep a cooler in the car with additional frozen beverages so we have something to drink on the way home. It’s a great way to save some money.
