Had a kid wearing mesh eye pro at my home field. He got shot in the mesh goggles, the bb shattered and a piece went into his eye. He had to go to the doctor. He was fine but that can be scary, and understandable why some don't allow it.

Can confirm, I played today (sat 17th july) and along with a lot of others wore mesh the whole day no problems! Absolutely wicked site with some great game modes especially for being under a week old! Cant wait to go back in a month!

Most fields in the US not only require fully sealed eye protection, but they even require it to meet certain ANSI standards as far as shatter resistance is concerned. Basically, it's a liability issue. No field wants to be sued into oblivion.

I just bought some Daisy ballistic glasses, that come with 4 different lenses, that have inserts and padded eye frames which might work for you

I've been rocking this setup with yellow lenses and m3 bolts for about a year. Only fog if camping for extended periods of time.

Unfortunately you got the mirror lens, we use them in work cause they cut down on the artificial light, you can get the ordinary ones, I'm very interested if that works cause like you I fog up everything to.

How about an anti glare screen protector for a mobile phone to take that reflection off the lenses

it might be a better solution... in germany most felds dosn't allow mesh googles.. hopely you will let us know if it works.. fogging is also my biggest prob at the feld....

There are masks that have fans built in them. They are great it has a high and low setting and batter usually last over 10 hours of constant use

I’ve heard of people getting bits of BB in their mouth using metal mesh face masks, because BBs shatter on impact, and in the states most places don’t allow mesh eye pro, has anyone experienced BBs breaking up and getting through the mesh?

Apparently it's often just paint from the mesh. It happened to me on my face mask.

Would the no mesh rule be due to the fact there is no safety standard for mesh unlike ballistic glasses with the CE aproval?

Nop. It was due to playing in quite a close range CQB environment, but as it's semi-only they're ok with mesh being used

I've got fog stop. I bought some to use on my ess v12 Advancers, which I also modified to remove the foam over the vents. The combination of the 2 works 98% of the time. Sometimes if I'm not moving they do start to fog up a little. But as soon as I move, they clear up.

1:35 I'm from Ireland and we wear mesh all the time? I was at a game two weeks ago and loads of us were wearing mesh. I was at an outdoor site, so maybe it's just in cqb sites?

@@shockwave.9749 Yeah, I'd heard that. The limit in Ireland is 1 joule, so it might be less risky over here. I only really play outdoors and rarely get very close up, so by the time i get hit by the bb, it's only a tap.

i have a similar problem with fogging, not as bad tho. i got one of these www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BLLD2TG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it has a small fan above the nose bridge. it comes with it as exhaust, but if you flip the fan it blows in and clears the lens. comes with smoked and clear lenses. i also swapped the 2 aaa battery setup for an 18650. it's been 2 months of play and i haven't fogged up yet. i still do get sweat in my eye, but it's 90ish degrees f and 80% humidity here.
