You've been very upfront with us about having ADHD, and you've let us know that you don't like watching other DIYers because it makes you feel like you're in a competition when you don't need to be. But your friend was right about professionals and there are a number of TikToks if you can handle 20 seconds of somebody giving advice on how to organize a kitchen specifically for people with ADHD. I learned to never use the back of the refrigerator. If it's not in the first 12 in you're not ever going to see it. Use the top shelf and the middle shelf but the bottom shelf is for things that other people want to eat that you never will. The door is the most important place to put fruits and vegetables even though that's counterintuitive because it will get warmer faster, but you'll see them and be reminded to eat the fruits and vegetables before they get bad in a way that they never do inside the crisper. Things like that kind of turn my world upside down but in a very positive way it's been very beneficial. Clearly you did an excellent job I just thought there's a difference between organizing a refrigerator and organizing a refrigerator for a person with ADHD. And I didn't know that, so I wanted to make sure that someone had said it to you.

It’s so important to make accommodations for yourself!! Many people with ADHD don’t have high working memory which is one reason “out of sight out of mind” happens. My sister used to do her homework then forget it at home or forget to turn it in - so she got a clear homework folder so she could see it! I love Black Girl, Lost Keys and Unf*ck Your Habitat for organizing/cleaning tips each person can adjust for themselves, rather than a strict set of how things “should” be!

Yay I love the fridge organization project - it turned out so aesthetically pleasing and was so soothing to watch 😍 keep the organizational content coming! Organizing your groceries and storing it in categories, especially the fruit, definitely looks like your own personal grocery store. I never thought of it that way. Traditionally the crisper drawers are used to keep things fresher longer but personally my items get forgotten down there and if you eat your fruits/veggies quickly storing them in alternate areas doesn’t matter anyway 😀 I hope it’s a final product that brings you some added peace. You’re right and the updated knobs elevate the cabinets even more! Love love love

I tackled my refrigerator & freezer last summer. A mess. Husband drinks a lot of milk, so I have wax all over shelves from plastic cartons. I laid down foam shelf liner, sized it, used duct tape on bottom. Now i just remove liner & wipe down. When i put away groceries is when i purge & restock. A few more minutes removing cardboard & wrappings from soft drinks, yogurt, etc helps keep it tidy. The hardware change is amazing. 👏🏼👏🏼 Accomplished so much! Proud of you Dalia ⚘

I love a kitchen makeover and had no idea you could spray paint and remove it from cabinet knobs! I bought my clear fridge containers from Amazon and I also got the clear drawer and shelf liners as well - really works well to keep everything organized and clean. Some people go as far as switching ever single sauce and jam into new labeled jars so everything matches and it's more about aesthetic vs practical lol but this is how I have my fridge is basically what you just did! I love it. I actually wash all my fruits and veggies prior to put them in the fridge so everything is clean and I even use plastic bowls with ready to snack on sugar snap peas or green beans even strawberries - if it's washed and ready to eat - I'm probably gonna open my fridge and eat healthy 🙃 amazing job :)

I put a “decorative metal sheet” from Home Depot behind the glass in the corner kitchen cabinet. It was exactly like yours and hid my messy Tupperware. I chose the copper.

not related but your hair is so long and beautiful 😍 this was so satisfying to watch, I didn’t even think about the dollar store having the clear containers! Also have never tried a mango seed but now I’m gunna be on the lookout - are they soft?? Or do they have a little crunch to them? Okayyyy what would you think about white washing the upper cabinets so they’re a lighter toned ashy wood?? and potentially painting the lower cabinets 👀👀 the matte black hardware turned out so perfect! Lol sorry for the 18 paragraph comment just so excited.

The fridge organizing was great! But clementines and apples don’t go in the fridge :) You’d save a lot of space by having them on the counter, or in a cupboard if you really don’t like having them on display.

For the color of the countertops? Not sure, you can go to home depot or any other store you buy paint from and get color swatches from the paint section and put them on the surface you want to paint. Once you see them on the actual place you want to color, and make the decision you can buy the paint. That is one suggestion. I love the fact you want to save as much as possible. Another way is if you have 3D templates in your pc, you could use those colors and see how they look to make sure.

I have put one of those containers in my door area and it has been a great help. I find those areas get dirty and it makes it easier to clean and if the arm pops off not everything falls. Also I have a container in the back for my most go to sauces. I know I’ll search for them when I need it and now have more room in the door.

In the southern west coast of India we mostly use the skin of mangosteen. Its called Kokum. It’s dried either with or without sugar. It is used to make juice or in curries as a replacement to tamarind to make it sour. Google kokum juice, solkadhi for recipes. It’s soooo yummy!

Hello how will you organize your freezer? I have a small freezer like you and no one really does freezer organizations I want to get the most out of my freezer but there's a small ice maker machine inside as well that takes up space. Thanks for these videos!

Hi Dalia. I plan to organize my fridge soon as well. Maybe try removing produce from its original packaging , like the grapes...remove them from the vine, wash, and place in a smaller container with a lid. Your fridge looks great. Thanks for sharing.

I love your fridge and this inspires me to tackle mine because it’s a disaster area right now lol. I use ikea and dollarama containers for my cabinets as well and it works great. Divide things into categories such as canned items, baking items, snacks, teas, ramens, etc.

Hello, a lot of your condiments really do not to be refrigerated. They can be stored in your cabinets or pantry. If you remove produce and fruits from their original packaging and store them in clear containers, it can certainly make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing

I tested out doing this in my last apartment (only on one set of handles in case it failed lol).. I used acetone to remove the spray paint when I moved out and it was good as new!

I've been missing them for years too! I got them from loblaw / superstore (and was super surprised to see them)! If you're in Canada and in a bigger city, T&T carries them sometimes! Otherwise asian grocery stores (if your city has like a china town) sometimes do!

You should white out your kitchen cabinets (DIY Paint) and install white countertops, preferably Quartz, and stainless steel appliances. It will dramatically change the look of your kitchen for the better, and at the same time it will open up your kitchen a lot more. Lastly, you should install white backsplash tiles on the kitchen walls between the cabinets and countertops.
