for all the people who are going through a really toxic friendship: get out of this fucking group or leave this person alone. once you realise how powerful and how important you are, you don’t need anyone. Find the happiness in yourself and not in other people.

Have you ever had a friend who only wants to know stuff about you and they do not open up on their end , They expect you to always be reaching out and when you tired and they also silent they keep texting you that your silence is too much for them ?.Its very draining

I've had my share of toxic friends. It's annoying when they would disguise underhand comments as true compliments. Narcissist friends are the worst. I had a friend who talked about my weight and my choice to have a veggie burger and then screenshot our conversation and took it into a chat thread with people and talk bad about me and my body. A friend who is disrespectful to your boundaries but then would get mad when you tell them how they made you feel. In college, you learn a lot. this video was amazing you Sadie.

About the friend asking you notes, that’s not really toxic if both of you help each other. That friend might genuinely need help, if you think helping academically is a competitive you might be for toxic friend. There’s nothing wrong with helping unless the friend only wants help and never help you. I hope that helps you process better. Other than that everything is quite accurate

Thank you for this I find it so relatable! Most videos are so therapy-coded which are nice but as a young woman myself this is in my language! I made the mistake of befriending a real “pick-me”. We were besties at one point. I didn’t think anything of it because we would hype each other up all the time but it quickly changed when she married a guy i introduced her to, who used to crush on me (and all of my other friends, it’s not that special) in high school. She completely discarded me at one point for “not texting her for two weeks” and eventually blew up at me after I thought we fixed things. I didn’t know she thought so badly of me and it really did hurt. We made up eventually but the trust was never the same. The copying, secret competition, sly sneaky comments. She was always a “oh I’ll eat in front of guys unlike some girls” type of girl. I choose not to eat fast food and she will boast about how she does, like it makes her better or something 😅 I had a black jeep (that I had to get rid of), then years later she goes online and specifically picks out a black jeep, same year and very similar model. Don’t get me started with the petty posts online. I can see how she mentally struggles but I can’t be close to her anymore. We have drifted apart for the better.

I'm 19 and feel so weird because literally everyone I know seems to be constantly in touch with each other over snap. I just wayyy prefer spending good quality time together with ppl in person. I feel like you can gain way deeper, more valuable friendships this way but other ppl my age just don't seem to get it. I am a high school student and i knew them (2 people) for at least 4 years then when my best friend left school for some personal reason they were the one who i was happy with after my best friend left but so, like i have been friends with them for almost 1 year they are also toppers but i am not a bad student, i am an average student i was doing good last year but for some personal reason i wasn't doin good at school and after some months like i am trying to catch up with school they are like mocking me, talks to me in a bad way and when i ask any questions they ignore me also when they ask me i always help them or give them information it wasn't like i used to behave bad or rudely with them. I started to feel like they r being toxic and then i started to look for toxic friends signs and then i got sure that yea they r now toxic friends and i should just get away from them. But ofc it's not easy as a kind and good person if someone tries to talk to me i can't ignore them it's so hard but i know i can do that if i try because i have too otherwise i will be affected by them and i cannot let that happen, i cannot let me be toxic Also whenever i tried to talk about my struggles or my feelings or that i went trough what they never used to listen to me but they used to share everything to me and i used to support them help them give them motivation etc I hope if anyone is going through this situation like me you will be okay you Can leave toxic friends you have to try i know it's hard but don't worry pray to Allah that if they are bad for you make them leave from your life hope you achieve ypur best in your life and in hereafter

I'm having problems with a childhood bff, we've had a total of 3 years with no contact because of fights, exhaustion and so on. Now I've finally understood why I feel like I'm walking on eggshells when I'm communicating or with her, she gets angry without saying it and then proceeds to ignore me for months, I also understand now that it triggers me and is toxic. I set boundaries with her and told her - like I've done multiple times this year - to tell me right away because I don't know what I'm saying sorry to, well her experience but I don't know when it happens, when I do wrong because she waits for months to pass before she tells me anything. So I walk on eggshells because I don't know what will trigger her. She answered me and said she needs time to understand and thinks about my stresses and so on - I hate when people make assumptions about my capability -, I am mean and don't listen to her. I've really supported her, pushed her to try speaking up, talking to her parent about her situation at her other parent, fixed her a job offer from my brothers boss which she declined, I've given long long apologies where I lift her and shame myself because I know when plans doesn't go her way or anyone's way she gets upset with us. This has happened to often and I'm the problem all the time, I feel like she can't take accountability for how it affects us and I really don't know what to do. We've been friends from 9-23 years, old minus 3 years, our relationship has never ever been conflict free. I feel mean if I say bye, like I'm letting her down, but I need to also think about myself for once. My exes has been toxic but I never questioned my friendships.. I'm at a loss here😅

My best friends told me that I treat people who treats me badly better than people who treat me nice. I always joke that it makes them less defensive and it will be easier for me to revenge, but the reality is that I simply can't treat people badly, even if they hurt my feelings. The thought of unfriend people is scary and I just feel terrible to not respond with a friendly smile.

I have a lot to say about this video! First, I was the pessimistic friend like 8 years ago. I suffered major depression and severe anxiety, trastornos alimenticios, I wanted and tried to 💀 myself, abuse (verbally, physically, seggsually and mentally) from my family and not family members too. I didn't have patents that cared for me (they would abuse me a lot), I was leaving in a poor and dangerous situation since I was born. I was full of hatred, scared, traumatized and insecure + I didn't have God either. I took my friends like my therapists, like a family. But in 12th grade they stopped being with me. At the time I felt to bad 'cause I thought they didn't care about me but actually they did. The only is that I was draining them! My thoughts during that time was "I would never do this them!" but of course, I didn't care about myself so I would have stayed with a pessimistic friend my whole life. After I got adopted 3 years ago by a new family and started to know God, I've changed COMPLETELY. I graduated from 2 careers, I'm depression free and God is helping me to control my anxiety. I see my past traumas like experiences now and OMG I feel sooo great! But hey, I had to lose everything first. That's how God works. I AM the incompatible friend. Now, this is something really important to talk about and I'm sooo glad that Sadie put this out (the only thing is that I don't know why is in a toxic friendship video 'cause it actually isn't in my perspective and I'll tell you why) I am an introvert (infj). After studying about how our brain and body works, I finally am confident on myself. We live in an extroverted world that ONLY glorifies extroverts and everyone knows this. This hurt us SOOO BADLY 'cause everyone see us like we have something wrong. There are people who called me "antisocial" but when they had a conversation with me they change their mind completly. We, introverts, work different. Extroverts usually have stregths that show on the outside but Introverts have their strenghts on the inside (and no one can see it except people who are close to us). There are terrible misconceptions and perceptions of introverts out there. Now, because we work different to extroverts, what drains an extrovert actually makes introverts charge our batteries AND viceversa. We like to see the world and beautiful things and have deep conversations with people but it drains us. (I even get sick sometimes). Trust me y'all. Everyone should start studying how Extroverts, Ambiverts and Introverts work so we can have a better place not for extroverts only but for Ambiverts and Introverts too. Please, is really hard for us to make friends and even get opportunities in a job. Now, Sadie mentions a LOT of stuff in this video that I'm SOOO glad she did. Most of this toxic friends can literally be DEADLY for other people. Please, take this seriously and analyze what she said during the whole video. Just remember to no hate other people 'cause that won't help you or them AT ALL. And please, be like the friends that I had. If you are getting drained, let those friends go with love and care so in the future, when they get better, they'll know you always cared about them which will make them heal. Be wise. Thanks for this video, Sadie. Just let me know if I understood something wrong! Have a good day everyone ♡

Ok so I think I need to rank a bit. I have this friend who I believe is toxic in some ways and it’s starting to make me so upset and drained. A couple of months ago I really liked this guy but I’m pretty quiet so I never said anything. Maybe a month later she hung out with this guy and said she should set us up. 2 days later they hung out again and kissed( this was her first kiss btw) and she said she didn’t even like him. A couple of months later she added this mutual friend for fun and I told her that I though he was cute. Fast forward a bit they kinda dated/ talked but he ended up ending it and she was super sad about his and crying to me and my friends. Not even two days later she saw the guy she kissed and was talking about how cute he was. Maybe 2 hours later I had told her and some of my friends about this new guy in our grade that I think is really sweet, cute, and basically my exact type and now she’s talking about how she wants to ask of him number. She has also just made a bunch of “jokes” about me that didn’t really feel like jokes. Anyways I didn’t know what to do because the rest of my friend group is very kind and supportive but I feel like if I say anything to this girl that my good friendships will change.

omg!!! i literally remember sending you a dm on instagram a few years ago, because i was so lost and sad due to a « toxic friendship ». you probably never saw it, but seeing this video is like a full circle moment 🫶🏻 i just know it’s going to help me so much. also; a toxic friendship is sometimes not anyone’s fault. it can just be an unhealthy friendship! and it’s okay. it just hurts realizing it. that’s exactly what i went through, and looking back at it, it was definitely like this! anyway, love you sadie! it really helps seeing you talk about this subject. i know how scary it probably is for you to post this since it’s quite controversial, but thank you so much. i’m very grateful for it. ⭐️💖🫧

I don’t know what to do. My friend only wants to be friends with “pretty girls or boys” and since I don’t fit into that, she doesn’t care about me as a friend. She took away my best friend because she thought she was pretty and constantly tells me about it. She also is a pick me and changes her attitude in front of boys and acts like she doesn’t know me or clings on to me if no one is around. She makes me mad because she makes me feel like I’m not enough but all my other friends think I’m in the wrong. I don’t know what to do.

i have known this friend for years. so when my birthday comes she doesn’t remember it at all it’s been like this for three years. Where I remember hers. she remembers her friends birthdays so there’s nothing wrong with her memory. Guess what her friends are the same month as mine it bugs me LIKKE? (I’m actually not sad about it just disappointed)

i love you so much sadie but i gotta disagree with two points you mentioned. I suffer from adhd which means my feelings are always hightened. i get too excited when i hear someone speaking about an experience that they had that i also had to the point that i sometimes cut them off to tell my story. thing is i dont do it out of hate or anything i am just worried that i might forget to tell them later because of how forgetful and distracted i can get ( also adhd symptoms ) but i do ask them to continue the story later. i just get so overjoyed that i cut people off sometimes. i promise this is not a hate comment im just trying to make a point because this can give so many people the wrong idea and turn friends into each other. i still love your videos and cant wait to see the next one!!!

Yes you are true and on point you've been around and there. These toxic people are way to needy of your personal time. Needing a hand or faver to borrow something or a loan. Long story short they are takers don't expect your Financial help to be paid back with out you having to ask for the loan money back or item lent to them they forget things real quick.

I don't think I agree with mirror my friends. I am who I am and if they don't like me I don't hang out with them. I have strong beliefs in topics and nobody can change my mind about it. I mean nobody. But this is a great video. I stay away from toxic people. If I strong political or religious believe you can't convince me to have the same beliefs you do. If you change your beliefs to theirs, you're not being yourself anymore.

I have this friend. I Dont know it’s it’s toxic or not. First of all she makes me laugh and smile so much!! Which is really good!! But the bad thing is every single day she pulls my hair so hard and slaps me to the point I have bruises and marks and she thinks it’s just a joke even when I tell her to stop. Me and her told some boys that my other friend has a crush on her. And she was laughing and everything. ( we told the boys our other friend didn’t after) so then the next day me and my other friend told some boys that she liked them. And she got so dang mad she is refusing to speak to us even tho she told us to go up to them. And she started hitting me so hard and pulled my hair to the ground it wasn’t funny. I tried saying sorry and stuff but she just ignores me. And me and my other friend even gave her money in bloxburg and in real life and she said she will pay us back but she never does. Idk what to do

In my experience, the girls who travel in packs are the meanest to you and each other. They might look good in pictures but their fights and gossip are nasty. Since I stopped associating too closely with anyone, I have never been more at peace and successful with my own life and relationship. DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE BAD PHOTOS AND MEAN NAMES- I had one friend who would literally hit me. She knew I wouldn’t hit her back!

Apparently I’m a whore I’m a slut and I wanted him the entire time(watching him cheat on her every other month for 8 years) lol 😂 we are no longer friends
