Thanks for this: I had many of the same issues when I tried to get the new download and app to work. All seems to be working now!

Glad it helped

Don't think you can sit in the car while you use the lock function.

I've seen suggestions that km/miles can be sorted by changing settings to U.S.? Haven't had to try it, as I was lucky and mine was right straight away - but might be worth giving it a go?

Thanks for sharing Ian, I have since seen this also, but not yet tried it.

There are more issues that can arise from this though I imagine. Can't say I'd recommend it

I saw today that Polestar and Volvo have made a deal with Ionity.
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
Yup. Still waiting to see what the preferential UK prices will be.
@adrianscarlett3 жыл бұрын
@@SpectrumGeeks if you've not seen it yet, uk prices seem to be listed from 1st july in euros at €0.35/kwh. www.polestar.com/uk/news/polestar-and-ionity/ Standard price for 350kw chargers is listed on the ionity website as £0.61/kwh, which works out to €0.81/kwh, a significant discount but still more expensive than home charging.

@@adrianscarlett Cheers for sharing. I had seen this, its great they have done a deal, but agree is still one of the more expensive options.

I just wondered, when you are charging the car does the app show any information? For example charging speed or estimated time to finish charging? Thanks
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
The latest update now gives an estimate of when the charge will finish, but not charging speed right now.
@farfromsensibletv3 жыл бұрын
The latest update, or at least one arriving very soon, shows the kW charging speed
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
@@farfromsensibletv Yes, but sadly only with DC charging. Not had time to do a video since I got the update.
@farfromsensibletv3 жыл бұрын
@@SpectrumGeeks it's a work around only but download ABRP from the play store and that app will show the charge speed in the bottom right corner when in the route select screen ( i believe it's that screen but definitely that app)

@@farfromsensibletv Yup, I covered ABRP in another video.

The climate will be set to 22 Celsius. If it's colder it will warm the car to that, if it's warmer it will cool the car down. We will probably get the option to set exact what we want after a few updates. Still a beta. :)
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
Still in beta is right :)
@markbond58003 жыл бұрын
The climate feature on the app relates to the parking climate in the car. That's currently fixed at 22 C, so not necessarily the temperature that you've left the normal (non-parking) climate set to. Your experience pretty much matches mine. The software partially works, some of the time. I really hope Polestar continue to improve the quality of the software to get it to where it should be.
@Gdank723 жыл бұрын
It's a BETA software ... imho it's more ALPHA ... but that's the Polestar Experience we are getting right now. Hopefully in a year all these issues we can laugh about!
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
I had not actually checked the setting in car, so if it is 22c thats really only good for winter then :(. Oh well.
@SpectrumGeeks3 жыл бұрын
I know they call it BETA, and its deffo something. Just a shame they show off an app at launch and 2 years and 3 months later its really only being rolled out and not class leading. Like I say I still LOVE the car and no regrets, its just abit of a shame.
@Gdank723 жыл бұрын
@@SpectrumGeeks Well if you car is sat in the sun for an 2-3 hours, 22deg's is a hell of lot cooler than 30+ ... but generally I agree, until it's the temp we want it to be it's only good for winter.
