Unbelievable bookcase. I bet you saved a bundle making it yourself. I admire your diligence and patience with the whole moving project.. What a lot of work. I can't imagine the planning that went into it. I'd probably give up after the first week. I need to find your video on those newspaper baskets!

crazy. you could feed an ENTIRE 3rd wheel country with the amount of money spent on this obsession. I also have to work in the garage. I only get 1/4 of one corner. However it makes me use what I have because there's no more ROOM to buy anything else. TFS!
@scrapinmaniac11 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, i am a bit crazy when it comes to scrapbooking! And i also agree with the notion that the less you have the more you use. When i go on travel, i take only a few of my scrapbooking supplies and i am really creative with my layouts. Plus i use every bit of paper or embellishments that i bring along. Thank you for watching!

I was really nervous about moving my craft space into the garage, now i am really excited about it. I know this is an old video but thank you so much for posting!

Sarah Slade hi there, I can tell you that I love my scrap Room! Having it in the garage is perfect because I keep the mess in there and I am not worried about cleaning my mess each time I entertain. I can keep the house looking nice and escape to my garage when I want to craft. I can also leave my projects out until I complete them. This is the perfect alternative if you don’t have extra room in your house. Thank you for watching!
@sarahjane95176 жыл бұрын
How do you go with Dust & the paints in good condition too?
@scrapinmaniac6 жыл бұрын
Sarah Slade hi there, I have not had an issue with dust. I keep dust covers on all my electronic devices and cutting machines. I have a duster in the room and clean my mess after I craft. I only use this room for paper crafting, mix media and cutting. I have a sewing room in the house for the sewing and never bring anything that will get ruined if it gets dust to the garage.

Awesome craft space !! Your shelves look great, What a nice area to work in. Had to giggle at the "how did I have all this in the dining room?" I just redid my area a few months back and have several totes full of stuff that I cant find a space for now. Of course I cant get rid of any of it because I may need it someday:) lol Thanks for sharing your new space. Happy crafting :)

I'm so happy for you. I have a nice area to craft in but it's always such a mess. Someday I will redo some shelving and get more organized...someday. I hope you share how you make the covers for your Cricuts. hugs, Debi

Great area. i have something simular in on the other side of my house which was the original house on the property. i use the old "main bedroom" that houses most of my shelving racks and i store my punches and dies in the plastic module boxes i get from Walmart in the tote section. I have a shelf unit w/ binders that hold my stickers themed/labeled. i put shelves in the closet and have an array of stuff including paper stacks and odds and ends, and my baking stuff. then i have an old desk that was grandama's and have my Cricut HP printer and odds on it and drawers stuffed w/ odds. a small TV cabinet w/ a turn table on it houses my Cricuts and on top as it is only end table high has my Big Shot on top. then outside of this room where the main room is, 1/2 is used for me where there are 3 ribbon/ink racks and a table that was grandma's too which is a desk and has leaf inserts to extend table space and under houses my sewing machine, 2 craft carts full of brads and such & extra stuff. i have 2 book shelves which holds all my binders that i theme my stamps and dies which are all labels for easy find and a unit w shelves on top, a drop top space w/ printer and drawers below for storage. And an entertainment center that hold my beads that i got from grandma when she passed. she taught me her bead work. glad i did that :). another older hutch w/ crafts stored and a folding table holds my paper scraps and piles of photos ready for paging or to make cards or what ever. this is a sum of stuff. you have way more than i. My family thinks i have it all but i will be sure to tell them about your craft space. love some of your ideas. sure wish we were closer to get together and play and share but i am in St. Pete Fl. thanks :)

It is actually not too bad so far. It is 90 degree now and it s 78 degree in the garage. The ink and wax crayons are doing okay so far. I was planning on doing an update when the temperature is in the 100's then check the actual temperature in my craft room. I did install an air conditioner and had only turn it three times this year. During the winter time, it was great in here. I prefer the cold weather and did not had to turn a heater. Thank you for watching.

I think my problem with getting organised is that I take my stash with me when I go to scrap with friends or to retreats. Because of this imam constantly upending everything to take with me - I never get the chance to become organised.

Nice space area, you really did a good job with it and with the wall shelves. I like those 2 black carousels on your craft table you said you got them at Harbor Freight. But are they called if you don't mind me asking. TFS hugs Letty
@scrapinmaniac11 жыл бұрын
They are called 12" Revolving Four Tray Bin, Click or paste the link www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?p=4&q=storage. I hope this helps. I love my bins plus they are a fraction of the cost if you were to purchase the same bins from a scrapbooking store. Sometimes just putting the word scrapbook or just offering the item at a scrapbook store doubles the price of the item. thank you for watching.

You have alot of electricity going on in your garage. I hope that is safe. Do you have problems with circut breaker? Be careful. Love what you did to your space.
@scrapinmaniac9 жыл бұрын
Andrea Hodges I am extremely careful what I am appliance I am running at a time. I don't use the hair dryer and heat tool at the same time. I usually run the hot glue gun on its own. But I have not had an issue with the circuit breaker yet. Thank you for watching!

great craft room....I'm working on mine right now....converting a sunroom. the really tall shelves you have...did you make them out of just plain mdf board and then just painted them white?
@scrapinmaniac10 жыл бұрын
orlaina777 Hi there, I made these with MDF. My husband did a great job with these. Because I am in a garage, I mounted my shelves on left over pavers from my backyard project. They sit high so if I get water under the garage doors, it will not damage my MDF. MDF does not like water at all... Thank you for watching.

I don't know yet because I created tis space in September when it was starting to cool off. I installed an air condition unit and have not had an opportunity to turn it on. I will follow up with a video on how cool or hot it gets in the summer. But I do love my space. I can keep it as messy as I want plus I have plenty of room to spread out. thank you for watching and have a wonderful Christmas!!

@scrapinmaniac11 жыл бұрын
I am glad I was able to inspire you. I can tell you that i really like my small garage space especially now that I can leave my projects undone and don't have to worry that it looks messy. You are lucky to have a bedroom for your craft. I think the biggest thing is that one can find our stuff, enjoy our spaces and find it a pleasure to sit down and create in a peaceful environment. So happy crafting!

I got these at the container store about 15 years ago. I seen better one and studier at the same container store, plus Ikea has some nice thin draws perfect for stamps and punches. Ikea and the container store have brick and mortar store as well as on-line store. Check them out. Thank you for watching.

I think it would be a shame for you to burn your house down and your beautiful, well thought out craft room. I cringed when I saw how many things you have rigged up into one electrical outlet. That is not safe. Please at least call an electrician and have them look at it and say if it is safe or not. You did a wonderful job on your room!
@scrapinmaniac11 жыл бұрын
Even though I have a lot of plugs, I do not turn on all the appliances on at once. The plugs are there for convenience and on surge protectors so I can turn on the switch when in use, otherwise they are off...Yeap, it would definitely not be wise to have all these plugs turn on at once...
