Funny thing is that curse that you skipped from the bee (curse of honey) takes up 1 space and has no downsides. You could have farmed the bee for curses

Did they change it back to no downsides in the steam version? Because at one point they changed it to give like 2 or 3 slow each turn which makes it impossible to effectively block with a bunch of the curses in your inventory.

The best curse to take is the one you get from fighting bees, they don't do anything while keeping it in your inventory they just do something when removed, so ideal for the cursed blade!

I just played a few games as CR-8 and I 100% think Tyler will love extremely. CR-8 Is a Backpack management extravaganza, where creating a build feels like solving an incredibly challenging Puzzle. You have all these parts, and need to figure out the precise order things must happen to do optimal stuff.

20:45 Earthstone Blade could’ve been good with the Tusk because anchored items don’t get pushed through by heavy items so he could’ve just put the blade on top of the shivs for lots of damage

I upgraded a wand once to have rage on use, and a Frog totem to keep the mana flowing. It buffed itself and every other weapon in my backpack, but thats not exactly something you can expect to get every run.

Hmm, some require a bunch of synergy. Black manastones are a must have though, along with some item to regen mana (the frog totem/mask thing for instance, or the mage hat thing, you lose energy for it but that's ok if you have the ethereal wand each turn, then you need ethereal wand so you get tons of energy and then perhaps go for a bow and the archers wand with that relic that gives +500% but destroys the weapons. Since they are arrows, spikes stop being a problem, and with cleansing rag it's about as good as it gets for dealing with poison. If you're lucky enough to get more than one, as long as you space them properly more than one black manastone can get buffed by a absorbed manastones without absorbing each other, can do up to +3 to both at a time this way.

I feel like the dagger is pretty good for a long fight compared to the Wooden Sword. Even though being able to use it once per turn is pretty bad, the fact it does 2 poison mean that you can stack it for each turn. That, and Poison should penetrate through blocks.

Single dagger is so much worse than wooden sword. Maybe 2 daggers is pretty close after a couple turns, but 1 dagger doesn't scale poison fast enough

@@robertmartinez601 It still going to reach it, while the other 2 or more energy can be use for other weapon or shield. So it will be slower but more defensive, but still isn’t the best weapon for a poison build.

What helps me out in Hard mode is to focus on defense first and offense second, and of course be mindful of poison that can knock you out quickly because of the lower HP.

Idk if you've done it yet but its possible to make an infinite build with CR-8. It is pretty easy just have a repeater loop into itself and make sure it goes through a booster. If they patched it just get 2 coal that refresh each other and the repeater.

Broken ring goes perfectly with archangel wings... but you need a bit more mana, black manastone to keep the size small. The haste makes it scale very well and since you can keep adding to the manastone it can scale quite far into the game.

They should rework the cursed blade into a weapon that gains damage based on the number of spaces that curses occupy, which might be more interesting because the player can be brave and micromanage a lot of curses instead of the player be picky about their choice of curses. This also allows big curses to be direct synergy but the devs could make it so the big curses disappear after combats or have an item that consistently generates curses.

The cursed whetstone and cursed shiv both generate curses on use. The cursed whetstone is especially good, because it gives adjacent weapons 125% bonus damage PER USE for one energy.

Poison dagger had 8 base damage +2 from poison. Wood sword had 7 base damage +3 from item. If you used the gem on the dagger it dealt more overall.

Curse of Honey from the bees is the BY FAR best curse for this- it has no bad effects, and is 1x1. It vanishes when you spend an energy to use it, so just don't do that.

Nuuuuuu you're totally underestimating the dagger - it comes with innate scaling, since the poison stacks up 2 per turn, so while it's 11 turn one it'll go up very quickly. Plus, poison ignored shield!
