Flinter at the start of the game, it tells you to keep a relative balance of males and females, you also have the ability to call females, so I'm pretty sure you should be taking out females, especially with uneven gemsbok, springbok and maybe just a few matures but I could be wrong

there are spotted Hyenas, Lions, Egyptian geese, Honey badger, Greater kudu, Cape Buffalo, Blue & Black Wildebeest, Warthogs, Springbok, Helmeted Guineafowl and Gemsbok

Unfortunately no. Many were hoping for huge game in this reserve but they didn’t deliver. The ones that were given are still cool but nothing like elephants lol. It would be insane if they added rhinos or hippos later on but I doubt it

Gemsbok are not nice creatures lol there are more than a few videos of wounded gemsbok trying to take out a hunter or skewering a predator.

No exclusive "weapon pack" dlcs as of yet but each update has added more weapons to hunt with even for the base game. Few new remington rifles a crossbow from the Alaska dlc and a compound bow for this one

Not even close. Static need zoned. Non existant animal tracking. Trying to ambush animal based on some nonsens mechanic. Game is held hostage by elitist players so no changes are welcome.

First skull shots on a buffalo are not going to kill him immediately, Secondly there is something odd with dropping the target on the spot when you shot at him from a long distance, I mean if this game is able to get the models of the animals and the animation right it should be able to get the dropping animation and the go down animation right as well, I am saying that because the dropping animation is honestly TRASH in this game and remember it's not a cheap game so they should adjust everything right and I am not seeing the reason why you should buy the game of this kind of thing still in it

This game is so weird. What I mean is, it's great to watch someone play it; but kind of dull to play. I guess that's why it's already on the ropes, after less than one year. The actual playerbase seems to be back in Call of the Wild instead. I just checked the Steam charts, and it's about 20:1 in CotW's favour for the last few months, and about 10-20 times more at any given time; real-time. I think this game went too hard into being a hunter sim, and too little into being an entertaining game, for the average gamer, unfortunately.

Well to be fair it took COTW years before its was even half of what it is today. And it's hard to compare the two because they fit different niches. Cotw is more arcadey run and gun and woth is more of a sim. Luckily this new dlc/update also came with the new hiker difficulty which is geared towards casual faster hunts more similar to the cotw style. I believe Mels Gaming had a great breakdown of the patchnotes

Completely agree. WoTH has missed the mark in terms of it being a game as far as I'm concerned. It all feels so basic and there is no difference between a 5* and any other animal in the herd. No prestige to a trophy, no long term objectives, it's just a dull game. Whenever I play it just feels pointless. Hardly matters what weapons you use, the genetic system is a waste of time as all the animals look too similar, the zones are so random it feels like a mess and pot luck if you find an animal or not. The actual map design and animal design/behaviour I feel is a lot better than CoTW, but as a game it's way too barebones and lacks replayability.

Honestly tho I'm waiting for a hunting game to come out that doesnt care about entertainment and just goes all in on the realism. I want a game where when u kill an animal it's like an event lol. Probably the only way a game like this comes out is a company that has another game that's making all the money.
