I hadn't been in such a long time, that could be the case then! I imagine the acquisition from Cedar Fair had to play SOME sort of role, too. Their parks always seem well kept!

@Dillon.Thomas that is definitely a net positive. With that being said, I will let you in on some behind the scenes info that you might find interesting. I actually worked for Great America in 2009 and 2010. In 2009, the park president at the time was a man named Hank Salemi. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly a couple of years ago. He was very much aware of the park's reputation as being a dirty park. He was determined to change that. In 2009, he declared Great America to be the cleanest theme park in the world. That's not a designation that anybody else gave us. It was just him creating a culture. In order to make it happen, he put a few policies in place. He increased the number of employees hired to work what's called Park Services, which basically their entire job is just to walk the midways and pick up trash and clean up messes. He also increased the intervals of time that the ride areas of queue lines were to be inspected for trash and litter to every hour on the hour. An announcement would come on the speaker at the top of each hour about how we were moving to keep Great America the cleanest theme park in the world and then I like to move it move it would play every single hour so that the employees would be reminded that it was time to do so. Probably the most impactful policy that he put in place was something that he called "everybody is Park services." No matter what your position was, whether you were a food vendor, a ride operator, a supervisor, all the way up to himself as the park president, if you were going to leave your workstation for any reason including to go on break you had to bring a picker and dustpan with you and pick up any trash or litter that you found along the way. Those policies radically changed how clean the perk was.

LOL I don't even know what it's about totally, I just remember the song and was like oh hey, that's the batman song! 😂 But funny I always thought it was the ride, not the movie till I saw the actual movie haha.

30 FPS on the rides is working extremely well for these rides. Even the dark ride shooting game was pretty solid video. What’s funny is we lived for 8 years near Great America, 5 years like 5 minutes from Dollywood and never went to either 😂 Great content, hope yall have a blast

It seemed decent! I was pleasantly surprised. Lower FPS does better in lowlight, too. But again, had to use the phone for most the day so I had to kind of adjust lol. That's crazy you never went to either! I can understand Six Flags, as many people don't care for their parks. But I feel like Dollywood would be right up your alley, especially if you're a fan of Disney!

"THAT'S IT?" .....of the Wing Coasters I've been on X-Flgitht is by far the best. So intense and it doesn't have a lame 2nd half like some others.

I liked it, but it definitely is a shorter ride. But at least you pack a punch start to finish haha.

We did backrow in the evening and it was much better haha. Front row wasn't great, not bad, just not awesome. Back row really gives you that "oomph" you're looking for.

You should have sat in the back seat on Raging Bull... the whip you get on the first drop is absolutely insane. One of the best of any coaster.

Someones going to Lollapalooza 😁 Did you see the new ride clue it look like a pretty big addition Demon Xflight Batman probly one of the best lineup and themepark out there think you guys should get a season pass next year it's a probly a better deal so you can visit all of the SF and CF combined park look like you guts had a fun day.

I saw advertisments for Six Flags when we were there, but unfortunately we did not have the time to stop there. Looks like a fun park - love the old style coasters made of wood - Cyclone, located in Brooklyn, NY is one of the best! NO WAY for that spinning ride - I don't even do the Tea Cups at MK! Glad Nicole corrected you - I was furiously typing Potter fans wear robes, not capes! 😛 "How could you, I say how could you not remember Foghorn Leghorn?" 🙂 Good music choices for the coaster rides! Question - when you wear the Meta glasses on rides, do you wear them with a strap or you just depend on your ears, so to speak, to hold them? Be well.

Honestly, with Cedar Fair acquiring the Six Flags group, it feels like they've done really good adjustments to bring the park up to Cedar Fair park levels. Not perfect by any means, but getting a lot better! I love the classic coasters that make you feel like you're not in the safest position LOL 😂 Have you done Mineblower at Fun Spot in Kissimmee? That's an interesting one haha, it'll snap your back up a bit, but it's worth doing at least once. I wasn't even going to bring up the cape/robe situation, and I'm like you know.... too many Potter fans will chew me up if I don't mention that 😆 I don't even have a clue how I remembered his name, but as soon as I did I was like oh man... that's too iconic to forget now! Thank you! I tried to match the themes as much as possible, and the glasses pick up wind VERY badly on the rides, so I had to cover up the sound or it would really hurt to listen to lol. I bought a strap on Amazon! "Luxe" is the name of them. Had good reviews, and affordable. I did hold them on Rock n Rollercoaster at DHS, but after that I bought the strap and I tighten it down all the way. Too expensive to lose LOL!
