I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. I understood the message but in the context of Wreck It Ralph, it completely fell flat and went against the world, it’s rules and previous themes. For one, Vanellope abandoning her own game for Slaughter Race is incredibly selfish, careless, dangerous, and goes against the themes and her character arc in the original. It also doesn’t make sense as she is literally part of the game’s code; even if they rewrote her code, it’s still dangerous as she may have unintentionally doomed her game and might have caused it to be unplugged due to the arcade manager noticing the changes.

I thought it was trash, I didn’t like the lazy overwrites of the lore (how can Ralph be covered by Felix for a day? How will Sugar Rush not go down without V?), the overuse of corporate products even beyond Disney; the look of the internet and the usage of stuff like memes, mean comments, dark web. I don’t like how childish and possessive Ralph is. It feels like a cheap corporate product more than a functional story The end credits version of In this Place is so hilarious, it’s a radio friendly pop remix that exemplifies everything the movie is. But I do actually like it.

There was one flaw I had about this movie. It was the ending. The first movie literally established that if you die outside your own game, you don’t regenerate. And Slaughter Race is not Vanellope’s game. So if she dies in that game, she’s not going to come back to life. That’s like one of the most darkest endings in Disney history.

@Depth217
@Depth217 26 күн бұрын
@@summerboliek2892 yeah but then how do they explain how vanellope is suddenly in slaughter race and not sugar rush? The first movie depended on the twist that she’s on the game so she’s meant to be there. Now she can suddenly leave it? It’s BS
@rottytopszombiewaifu5249
@rottytopszombiewaifu5249 26 күн бұрын
@@jordangan3246 Well considering that Vanelope's code was removed from Sugar Rush once by King Candy, and neither Litwak or the gamers seemed to notice her absence from the game (or really care), I doubt Vanelope leaving Sugar Rush would have much impact or be any different from the first time she was missing from the game.

A reccmondation for an animated movie for cammentary/reaction is Prince of Egypt. the 2D Animation is amazing for the time with some hints of CGI that hold up today. The Music is heavanly. The story does have some heavy themes so I understand if you don't do it but it is a phonemal movie for content and you should see it even if you don't post as reaction.

@jbwarner8626

Because "it broke the Internet" was a trendy phrase for like one week in 2017 after Kim Kardashian posted the photos from her infamous nude shoot. That's right, Disney classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, and The Lion King are now in the same canon as a movie named after Twitter's reaction to Kanye West's wife's bare ass 😑

I think I’ve said this before in another video about Ralph Breaks The Internet. It’s that his dependence on Vanellope as his best friend and his source of happiness is unsettling and uncomfortable to watch since I’ve been in this position with a friend of mine before which made them uncomfortable. Alright before anybody inevitably points out the whole "Venelope went Turbo and broke the biggest taboo rule in the arcade" and stuff like that (like people do in the comments of pretty much every reaction to this movie), I just wanted to point out that it's not the exact same case here, and I always thought it made a little more sense for Vanelope... You see, Turbo was egotistically selfish and wanted all the fame/attention to himself, to the point where he abandoned his game and tried to take over or ruin another game out of sheer jealousy, and after nearly dying as a result he never learned his lesson the first time as he tried to do the same with Sugar Rush. But Vanelope on the other is a whole different story. Vanelope started to feel like she lost her purpose in life after losing her home/game, and when she and Ralph ventured to the internet in an effort to save her game, along the way she found a new game/place to call home, somewhere she felt like she truly belonged and felt comfortable being herself in. There was definitely some inner-self conflicts to be sure, but sometimes moving on is just part of life, even if it means you have to make sacrifices or hard decisions that you may or may not regret in the future, such as moving away from friends and loved ones and not knowing if you'll ever see them again or not. I think one of the biggest conflicting things about this movie, is that there are certain parts that got a little too "real." Like Ralph's insecurity and struggle to let Vanelope go, because he was rejected/bullied and isolated in a lonely depressing cycle of living in literal garbage for 30 years, only to then have finally made a real friend who made him feel happy and like he has purpose in life for the first time in years! A lot of people IRL have separation anxiety and a hard time letting go of close friends or loved ones inevitably moving away from them, and their desperate clinginess could potentially cause them to do terrible selfish things that they'll regret for years to come. While that doesn't justify Ralph's actions nor deny what he did was wrong (though I do gotta give it to Ralph that even when he was acting upon his desperate selfish intentions, but at the same time he still maintained some amount of a moral compass and made it abundantly clear that he didn't want to hurt anybody in the process, and I'd imagine that he felt even more horrible upon realizing that he did end up hurting people when the virus did a lot more damage than he was told/implied it would by the shady guy from the dark web), but at the same time a lot of us have made those exact kinds of mistakes and gone through the same struggles as Ralph, I myself find it quite painfully relatable. I always find it kind of interesting yet iffy whenever people in real life going through these kinds of struggles and inner-self conflicts are considered normal and just a natural part of life and often hard learning experiences, but whenever fictional characters go through those exact same things and end up changing in some ways as a result, people just flat-out call them selfish scumbags or an "assassination of their character", in a way that kinda sounds like those people just want their favorite characters to stay their exact same perfect usual selves without any substantial character development via severe life-changing struggles or conflicts of the nature I mentioned earlier. I guess that's kinda what I meant when I said this movie got "too real" at times... I guess perhaps there are reasons why a lot of people don't like too much realism or "change" in fictional media, especially animated Disney movies where cartoony video game characters travel across the fun wacky worlds of the internet as an example?

😎👍 Of course, I have no way of knowing which animated films you've already seen, only which ones you've already reacted to on this channel (I did a search). ☺ There are three Disney animated films that anyone and everyone who loves dogs should definitely watch: "Lady & The Tramp" (1955), "101 Dalmatians" (1961) and "Bolt" (2008). 🐶 In the realm of non-Disney animated features, I highly recommend "9" (2009) which also features John C Reilly as well as a lot of other celebrity vocal talent. 😉 You're always a blast to watch.
