Have been following you since the first video of this track and my gosh the development is so so beautiful. Slowly and steadily... I think this gives a much homely feel than anything track wise I've seen. You're doing an amazing deed. Big up, A supporter from India.

It does have a nice feeling when we are all out there. It's hard to explain. I really appreciate you sticking around this long! It's been a drawn-out process, but I'll keep pushing to make this a very nice racetrack for the size.

Hey I made a simple start light set up for autocross raceing for my geoupe you could make one in the tower it’s just two house switches in a box one is a three way for red and green other is a single switch for a amber stage light we just counts manually in our head 5 sec to switch to green I just use out door extension cords I used the ground oops 🙊 wire for the red light power and the black for the green light power then the white for common nutral and another extension cord for the ground and to power the amber one with just plug ends it works perfect

This is another step towards having a very nice, local racetrack. We are going to work on restoring the clay karting track soon. Thank you to everyone that's supported the series thus far! We have a long ways to go, but we will get there.

A little info for the folks that are not from our area. The clay track your working to uncover use to be one of the fastest clay ovals, for carting, in the entire Midwest USA. I remember people driving 10 hours, one way, just to race at this track. To say im excited to see it possibly being used again is an understatement!

String lines help a ton when paint stripes….also the string line marked the edge of the paint line, not the middle. Paint edge follows the string for straight lines…I watch all the videos! Your living the dream. I am from ND
@Greenlightfilming Жыл бұрын
That is an excellent suggestion. If I put some more thought into the lines I may have came up with that. Now I know for next time. Thanks for the tip 🤘. You aren't all that far from the track.

Bleachers are definitely a major score! Those don’t seem so large that they couldn’t be covered by a rental event tent, either.

They can definitely be covered/shaded. Those 10x20 canopies would basically do it. We are going to figure out something.

We always used 3” pipe to siphon ponds down, no pump needed and will pull it down to a couple inches for us to cut the dam and put in a below grade drain pipe if customer doesnt want it to ever fill back up then fill the dam, have a few ponds we drained around here used for ATV and dirt bike racing. You all have came a LONG way since the first video i saw where you just bought it, hope to see it continue improving and become a profitable and for others to be able to enjoy it for many years to come

Most guýs use a string chalk line for straight lines ... maybe add in a brick into the line painter stops the bounce.. nice works looks awesome... yes bleachers are crazy....
@Greenlightfilming Жыл бұрын
The brick is a great idea. That little dolly was bouncy as all heck lol. That, and you had the almost "wheelie" it to turn. It wasn't that great unless it's perfectly straight.

Great to see more progress. Suggestion for striping. Long string and use a brick on each end for a straight line to follow. One brick with the string stretched out to a piece of chalk makes a consistent curve. I would also suggest a horizontal 2x4 (or a couple) to the back of the top seat on the bleacher so no one sits down and leans back and falls. First one should touch about 2/3 of the way up a person's back. Especially important for kids who are not as situationally aware.

That's pretty cool. I've been a stage and event lighting director for over 30 years and I know it can be expensive to even rent them. Wooden scaff bleachers are definitely cheaper but they don't hold up to the elements so they are only good for indoor

Old friend of mine used to use 2 old tyres and a long length of cord to run the wheels on to guide for a nice long straight line, I have no idea how he did curves though. He would just stretch it out close to where the line went with the tyres being heavy enough to keep the cord tight enough.
