You don't have to build your AC so versatile in 1v1, gatling are for burst damage at close range and missiles have a range around 500+. At close range your missiles will just land behind with no hit. Pick a range you like to play at and build around it. If you like melee use kick more, that thing can stun enemy in place for a short time

This is my first Armored Core playthrough so I'm still getting a little used to it! So far my builds have been based off of destroying shields with blade and then melting close range with machine guns! But I also liked the versatility of missiles landing while moving around getting half or even 3/4 of the shield health, then melting with machine guns. I don't have a set build yet but so far just been playing through those! I have not tried kicks yet in this game but will see if I can experiment with it because I also get stagger from the blade too once it breaks shield! Will try your advice sooner or later though, thank you!

The way aiming works in this game is the system tries to predict the target's movement. It helps to be less obvious and keep switching direction to avoid damage.

I realized that half way locking into Balteus! Switching to mouse and keyboard for me was very ideal, and also I realized as well that the machine guns are so much easier to hit when I get a little closer!

@@IllShowYouChannel Check out your FCS, if you're using machine guns close range number should be higher, your arms also have a stat "firearm specialisation" which acts as a multiplier to lock-on stats of your FCS
