A german mp is paid ONLY 3 times more than a primary school teacher, a police officer, a nurse, an electrician, a Warehouse attendant, a plumber, a bus driver etc. ONLY 3x !!. How come is a kenyan mp paid 30x more than the kenyan primary school teacher? 30x more than the police officer? And you still go ahead to pay them extras like sitting allowance, entertainment allowance, medical cover, mileage??? These things do not exist where I live. Total wastage and daylight theft. In the Moi era mps were earning 250k, but when Kibaki took over they suddenly earned 1million per month and then they are in charge of the CDF which they steal. Wake up people!!!!

This is the way forward. Ruto must call for a Baraza and bring all govt expenditure and we go through item by item. Salary for President must be less than 500,000. Deputy not more than 400,000. He must give a break down state house and his office expenditure. Nothing like handouts. We need to know the expenditure item by item. Mpigs salaries salaries not more than 100,000. No allowances. Let them live on their salaries if not they can go home. MCAs 60,000. Nothing like renovations of DP house or statehouses. Wastage of resources ,must be cut. Teas, airtime etc must be less than 30,000 for all senior govt offices. Budget making process must more transparent an agreed by Kenyans even it will take time to do so. No more IMf and World Bank orders. Let can leave if they don't want to be realistic. Kenya has alo of resources that you don't need them and their fake money. CDF FUNDS must be independent from Mpigs. An independent committee must run it. President convoy must be not more than 5 vehicles and 3 bikes if necessary at all times. Joy riders must be stopped. President trips abroad must not be more than 10 in 5 years. Unnecessary invitations from other countries must stop. Mpigs must buy there own cars no free money from tax payers and then vomit on there shoes. Foreign diplomats and countries that don't tow line of Kenyans can go. County govts system has failed completely creating more bosses and stealing of public resources. I suggest we return to the old system. More funds should be put in education, health and infrastructure. The so called affordable housing is a big lie so don't push through throats of Kenyans. The list is long. Let us begin from here.

The people that Kenyans allowed into power despise and disdainfully look down upon them. These individuals are not concerned with and do not care about the interests of the people of Kenya and the country. Bureaucrats and technocrats occupying senior public offices are demotivated because they are routinely ignored by the all knowing political mandarins. The political class in the cabinet and Parliament is preoccupied with amassment of wealth by whatever means regardless of the cost to the public. Hence, both the cabinet and Parliament lack the time to analyze and scrutinize critical policy, legal and regulatory documents to propel the country to prosperity. As a result, obnoxious documents such as the 2024/25 Budget and Finance Bill are approved without requisite consideration.

Article 115 clause 1 to 6 and Article 116 clause 1 to 3 , is clear about this , the President withheld making a decision about the bill yesterday , It will still become law after 14 days

The clapping squad. Ruto the president should know these are his worst enemies. Your best friend is the one who alerts you when you're naked not the one who lies that you are handsome despite being naked.

For Ruto to survive, he should: a) Implement comprehensive anti-corruption laws that criminalize all forms of corruption, including bribery, embezzlement, abuse of power, and money laundering with a minimum of 5 years without bail. b) He should Impose severe penalties for corruption offenses, including lengthy prison sentences, substantial fines, and confiscation of illicitly obtained assets. c) Enforce a lifetime ban from holding public office for individuals convicted of corruption offenses. Conduct regular and random audits of government departments and agencies to identify and address potential corruption risks.

You want these criminals to basically cut off their main source of wealth accumulation? Wishful thinking, the "pitchforks" are going to have to come out.

The Kenya financial problems are generally an example of many African countries. Debt on one hand, and policies to hike taxes to pay off the debt, which eventually will bring many people into poverty and starvation.

Either way u think about it it’s tragic. If it was a party position, they really don’t have minds of their own. If they did make the decision to say yes individually, then they really don’t care for their ppl , only themselves.

Am just a simple Kenyan who loves his country, I am very sad the president declined to assent to the bill, I understand his stand tho using the phrase " he who run from a fight is humble enough to accept defeat and strategize and come back strong" You can celebrate but in few months you will understand, the president has open the door and ur voices will be heard, u will all be on the table to plan for Kenya budget, I hope he will open all Kenya assets, finance and mutapanga how government will run the nation, for all those MPs who voted yes, I salute you and never regret it. My president, I know u mean well for me and I will stand with u, for you journalist I regret how cheap you set your standards, well a u enjoying good salaries ur kids enjoying best studies in group of schools, u farm being a mic forgetting what a farmer with a jembe go thru, our kids not knowing after grade 7 what next. He how laughs first always ..............

Zakayo signes a memo that he will not sign the bill. So hopefully he wont feign ignorance after 14 days. Undee the prevailing curmustances the house shoud not go on recess until the matter is concluded. But he can call them back since he owns them after bribing each with 2M.
