The whole point of wealth for me is freedom. My magic number in my mind is 5 million needed at 65 to not worry about anything. Am i better off investing a good portion of my income into stocks or real estate to achieve this goal?

Varied sources of income is wise and especially living within your means. My net worth is $2M and I can pay my bills with no stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints.

Said as someone who understands neither software nor finance. AI will not create new financial instruments. What might emerge are trading patterns that humans wouldnt come up with, but just like programming, all the fundamental pieces are already there. Every Turing complete language is still just loops, conditionals, and variables. Buy, Sell, Borrow. Emergent behavior we might not expect could just as well be monopolization and JIT productivity improvements; humans come up with create finance while computers are great at optimization and those arent even close.

Not that I know anything but like harari is being very polite about tech we don’t know much about how countries operate it’s just well whateve happens to be on American news which I guess is much but what else is there. Like there’s a weird haystack?? Of deploying web3?? And it has to do so much with well how was actually making all those decisions about geomonopolies and like how talk about implementation that was really all about selecting a few people to make money off those distributions of tech. I don’t know what to say harari took the punch to at least have some discussion about very complicated complex that will lay the groundwork for the like the next century. I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow.
