Financial Benefits of Generosity and People Helping Each Other

Most financial advice centers around transactions where money changes hands. I've found though that a secret to financial success and prosperity often lies in non-monetary transactions, i.e. in moving more of your life out of the cash economy, and into just working together with people and helping each other out.
People like to help each other, and they also appreciate generosity. By being generous, you increase the likelihood that people will want to help you in return. Also, don't be afraid to accept other people's generosity, especially when it's benefitting you a lot and not costing others much.
In this video I give some simple examples of ways you can be generous to others in ways that will help them save money, such as by giving away items of value that you're not using or don't want, and by bringing things to events, especially if you are good at finding or making particular items. You can also organize or attend events like clothing swaps or potlucks that involve everyone chipping in in such a way that everyone benefits.
These non-money transactions can save people a huge amount of money, and lead to a more efficient use of resources in society as a whole, as people reduce degree to which items are just sitting around taking up space, and also as people use their own strengths and skills to make and do things for other people.
