I agree with you all, open communication is key although you can also agree to keep your earnings private because I can tell u from experience, its a terrible idea disclosing what u earn to your partner especially for ladies who earn quiet a bit more. Whether the world will agree or not a mans ego will always be hurt if the woman is earning more than him. And in a lot of cases you can have all the open communication needed but the other partner will still decide to do otherwise, open communication is not guarantee that that problem is solved.

I disclose my financials to my husband because he also opens up.. however, if I get an increament at the time when we are in aka conflict,😊 I won't tell him, he finds out later, if opportunity arises.

There's no wrong answer to this......all deprnds on how you define your relationship. If it's a partnership then disclosure is needed. But if it's paraditic please keep them secrets😂
