hello doc, my doctor prescribed me finasteride 1 mg daily but he didn't told me to do blood work . But i did as it worried me and my testosterone total was 4.31 ng/mL and E2 was 13 pg/ mL . I was wondering that 1 mg Daily would be over for me at this age so would 1mg or 0.5 mg on alternate days be good , whats your opinion? And i'm 21 yr . Thanks for replying.

Please start with 0.5 mg EOD and then every 4-6 months increase in increments till you reach your ideal dose.

I would like to to share my experience,I have done my second hair transplant recently in June 2024, I have started it for 3 days and all desires are lost. Back in 2023 while my first hair transplant i had took it for 3 months and then stopped it. The Sicentific study shows only 1.5 - 2 % people have side effects , i guess i am in that list. I will never ever take it again as i am risking my sexual life which is more important than anything. What i will do with the illusion of dense hair and once stop it all will roll back in few days. I am happy with the tranpsplant and will go with minoxidil for long as its the transplanted hair so not worried if it will shed off again. Not necessary that all the people will get the side effects but in my case its over.

Hello doctor, what is your opinion on PFS suffering people ? Some of them says they took 1mg EOD for 3weeks 10years back and their life ruined , never recovered from suffering extreme depression, anxiety phasees and completely lost sexual life. From your videos i got the point that you dont really believe in PFS, and those PFS people sometimes seems like exaggerating things but it is also a matter of fact that why would they complain this much against the drug. I am 44 years old and have been taking finasteride 1 mg on alternate days for 1 and half year and has got very good hair results without any side effects. After that slowly side effects started. Then Stopped it for a month and got fully reversed of all side effects. After that I started with same 1mg but twice weekly. After 3 months of continuing the same small dose the side effects started again. But this time the side effects has not got reversed even after 6 weeks of stoppage. Please advise Doctor should I wait for another 1 month to evaluate it completely. Looking forward to hearing your valuable advice. Thanks & Regards
