There new one (nut mini)has a slimmer design, not easily accessible battery, no physical button and is more portable. They both have the same functions and perform the same.

+Primorsky pretty much none. Haven't had any issues in these domains with the app. It may vary if a phone has 1GB or 512MB RAM maybe but I haven't had any issues.

+asha asha it works without the internet. The internet is used only for the maps tracking feature. It connects to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. If that connection is broken it will beep or your phone will buzz. That's its working principle.
