In today’s video I gather literal trash from my car for junk journal supplies. I DIY textured paint with a sugar packet. I decoupage with a McDonald’s napkin. I reuse text from an old Christmas card, and MORE! Getting out to the craft stores can be challenging for some, or maybe you want to be a little more eco-friendly and scrappy with your junk journaling adventures. Or maybe you're a junk journal beginner and don't want to spend a lot of money on supplies right away. But I want to tell you that YES, you can make a junk journal tag and pocket from an old Starbucks gift card holder and a brown paper bag handle. Clean up a space and see how far your imagination can take you. The possibilities are endless with art journaling. And you know I like to preach being thrifty when you can. This project is definitely as thrifty as it gets!

I just found your channel. I love that you made neat stuff from the "daily ephemera" -- but just wanted to comment that the receipts will turn black over time. They are made from "thermal paper" and heat make the toner like printing. Once they've run through and been used 1x for making the receipt, they will just continue the chemical reaction and yeah... then you have a kind of yucky black paper. So, I wouldn't use that as a resource if you want it to stay "true". Hope this makes sense... ask me how I know. HAHA!
